There's still the tag team list
-
Not so sure that is the case. Perhaps the PWO of the future if a large number of the non-PWO voters stick around and become part of the community. But make up a list of all the #1 voters, and ponder how many aren't regular posters here (or haven't been outside of the GWE), along with all the ???, and there's a not insignificant number of folks who haven't been members of the community over the past 2 years, or 10 years. Not saying that's a bad things. Will and Loss have talked about broadening the PWO community, and making it an inclusive site. This is smart as there are always some of us over the years who wander off, and you need to regularly put more water into the pool to make up for what comes out. But it's not realistic to stretch it to be representative of what the community has been. All the members of the PWO community that cared enough or could be bothered to vote, voted. Loss, and others that made the decision to let non-members vote was a good one. Otherwise, PWO would end up like the North Korea of all wrestling boards, toA. I'd love for all of the non-members that voted to become members, possibly replacing those who are too elitist to be bothered with such things.

I find it troubling that certain people here are insinuating that their personal ballots are 'better' than other's because their 'criteria' or 'scope' was better/all inclusive. The final list is a 100% fair aggregate of the community of PWO. Just because some of the more prolific members lists didn't reflect the final list 1:1 doesn't mean it is 'wrong'. This list is not wrong or right. It is not good or bad. The final list is what it is and nothing else -- A list. A few people need an ego check or else this entire board will end up a board full of you know who's. This is never more apparent than after listening to some of the more well-known podcasters. They range from people who have a really difficult time admitting they are wrong about something they said up to people who make a decision and then dig in their heels to craft an argument to fit that decision after the fact no matter how ludicrous that idea is. This is PRO WRESTLING yet people fight to defend their opinion just as much as the big two polarizing topics: Religion and Politics. This is supposed to be fun. You make a statement, if somebody disagrees, let them disagree. It still doesn't change your opinion. At least, it shouldn't. If you let somebody here influence you enough to change your mind just by challenging you or disagreeing then that is just sad. No poster here is 'smarter' or more knowledgable then the next when it comes to pro wrestling. All of us are different ages and live in different areas which means we've seen more/less or different areas more than others. That's where the differences stop.

Unless my math is off, I think there are 54 #1 votes still up for grabs between Flair and Funk. Lowest case scenario for each would be 27 #1 votes. That is still 16 more than Misawa and Hansen received.
-
I had Funk #1 and Flair #2 on my ballot as it seems a lot of us did. I'm happy either way.
-
I have 5 of the Top 10 in my personal Top 10. (Funk, Flair, Kawada, Kobashi, Misawa) others in my Top 10 were Jumbo, Bockwinkel, Tenryu, Casas and Santo Everyone else left was in my Top 15
-
So 19 of the Top 25 were in my Top 25. Not bad.
-
I didn't rank: Billy Robinson Fit Finlay CM Punk Mick Foley Yoshiaki Fujiwara
-
Angle was #68
-
I am and have pretty much always been a huge CM Punk fan, but he is being MASSIVELY overrated. As is Mick Foley,
-
I will have 45 of the top 50 ranked. 21 of my Top 25 made the Final Top 50. 33 of my Top 50 made the Final Top 50. Interestingly, Akira Hokuto (18) and Jaguar Yokota (19) are my highest ranked that have dropped.

If the undertaker had a different gimmick from 1990-2016, but all of his matches were EXACTLY the same in this alternate universe as they played out over the last 26 years we all observed ... would he have ranked in the top 100?
-
Maybe have a committee to nominate voters instead of wrestlers. This would prevent people voting for Gotch and Hackenschmidt, would guarantee no anonymous voters, eliminate troll/joke ballots and limit people who'd vote Naked Mideon #1 in a strategic vote. and I'm sure a few other positives that I'm forgetting.
-
It's too bad there wasn't a master list of nominees. That would have really helped things, especially if it had links. Honestly, I think only having two wrestlers make the list that weren't nominated after all of the people who listed wrestlers who weren't nominated, I think it turned out better than expected.

Is TNA the worst wrestling promotion in history?
TravJ1979 replied to Loss's topic in Megathread archive
I recall in around mid-2003, Tenay had an interview segment called, The Interrogators, and he had Ron/Don Harris on. I don't remember exactly what was said, but I remember one of them saying a veiled racist remark. Found it... 5/7/03 PPV Q: Clay (Aiken) or Reuben (Studdard)? A: Which one is the white guy? -
even if there isn't another poll, I plan on building my GWE and GME lists in sections as Loss suggested. For Instance, I'm going to try and watch everything I can from that Stetcher match to about 1983 and then make a list. Since 1984 is when footage seems to explode, i don't know how I'm going to divide up those, but most likely no more than 5 year increments. Maybe if a 2026 poll ever does get off the ground I'll already be finished (and I'm certain it will vary greatly from what I turned in this year).

I have 72 left going into the Top 100. My highest ranked drop so far was Jaguar Yokota at #19, the first and only out of my top 25. Her not making the 100 is very disappointing. Especially since Mick Foley made it.
-
Both are still alive.
-
I am down to 78
-
Guys I'd like to see drop before #100 Kurt Angle Christian CM Punk Mick Foley Chris Hero Chris Jericho Low Ki Sami Zayn Samoa Joe Sting The Rock Undertaker Larry Zbyszko
-
#120 might just be a nice even number to stop at or its a big reveal. Could be HHH, Benoit or someone else hated/controversial
-
Awesome.

May I recommend #120-#111 on Saturday, #110-#101 on Sunday and then start the Top 100 on Monday morning? I don't check this thread much, if at all, over the weekend. This way Monday can start with fresh list, fresh threads and fresh eyes.

The Rock ... Sting .... Mick Foley
-
2 made my Top 25 so I'm holding out hope.
