I liked the way this is taped with Taz bitching out Judge Jones and then going right to the ring with everyone filing in from the concourse area to see what he has to say. It made Taz look like a badass and big time.

Corino is a ECW character I can get behind and feels very easily to be the crop of the new talent from a personality standpoint around this time. His interaction with Cyrus here was good and I was glad to see this not done in Pulp Fiction format.

I enjoyed this a good deal. The eliminations came logically and were well done even though the floor one is cheap. The final section was really great and the cheating to pick up the win was a great dick move. I liked the contrast played out throughout the match of more brawling strikes from the FMW and more shoot style stuff from the Battlarts crew. Kind of tough to get across writing it like that but you see it when viewing the match. ****

Glad this has got some praise as this was one I watched before the set and really dug. My thoughts here reechoed what I saw the first time. So this match has some stuff going for it. 1. It is Osaka Pro's first show at Korakuen Hall and only their 3-4 show overall. 2. I would imagine that Osaka Pro needs to be represented on the yearbook and this gives a good sampling of guys you are familiar with in Togo and Delphin and more obscure names. The match also follows an intriguing structure of a hot start leading to a brutalizing beatdown of Seno that leaves him bloodied up. Him getting his redemption and revenge at the finish was a great feel good- moment. One botch from Yakushiji got some laughs but he recovered quickly. Togo of course was pretty boss overall in the match. I think this a good representation of the style as a whole with some wrinkles that the Osaka Pro promotion wanted to implement. ****

Wow this was 12 minutes of great wrestling action. It felt longer than that with the struggle and intensity everything was performed with. It is easy to just marvel at Yoshida as she finds way to bend and tie Fukawa up. Fukawa for her part hung with Yoshida and contributed to the match overall. A great sub fifteen minute match with Yoshida advancing on. ****

HHH turning at Mania did seem to catapult him into the main event picture after him sputtering since SSlam. This was a big ol brawl and done well. Overall, this was a pretty poor night of wrestling though with both companies doing some uninspiring stuff and toeing the line so to speak.

That bat shot was really nasty and the violence and chair shots overall have been increased to a sickening degree. Instead of facing off with Bass, Debra just strips down to her bra and panties herself. Jarrett slams a guitar on Bass and him and Val fight. Yawn.

This was great and the stunner by Vince was immensely clever. I can't believe they ruined this a few weeks later as Vince has been an effective babyface so far. *

Oof, these opening promos are starting to be too much. This was a lot of talking and not really much development overall. The Union as a group would seemingly work but I think everyone was so burned out on factions that they checked out. This doesn't really set up much of note except the big PPV matches coming up.

Gorgeous George is in heavy training for her big match at Slamboree. So many feuds going on that make little to no sense.

Yeah, this was dreadful stuff with the inmate s looking even more tasteless in this setting. Bagwell and steiner are feuding now? I don't remember that happening at all. It looks like after two weeks of a lot of good along with the bad, WCW is back to the shitter pehaps this time for good.

Not familiar with many of these guys but this was a fun brawl while it lasted. A lot of garbage stuff but good intensity throughout and some shock value with the bungee spot and fire blowing. Good to see Sangre Chicana come out at the end and they have another huge ass brawl. Fun stuff. ***

I'm amazed at the chemistry these two had later on in their career. I think the 2001 match is well known but this was almost as good. Muto somehow feels motivated and put together more vs. Tenryu than anyone else. The work around the back spring elbow and avoiding the powerbomb was great stuff and the victory from Muto felt well deserved at the end. This match really took me by surprise with how good it was. ****1/4

It's WrestleMania week and we're doing Mania themed shows the entire week! On today's show, Will is joined by Pete (Titans of Wrestling) and Steven Graham (The Super Show) and each of us construct the greatest Mania card of all time using the all time great matches in Mania history. http://placetobenation.com/good-will-wrestling-building-the-perfect-wrestlemania/

This was more my speed although again the heat wasnt great. Malenko dominated this until he got caught with the armbar securing the win for Fujiwara. Tons of intricate detail and reversals. This was a treat to watch and observe intently. ***1/2

This had some good work but seemed dull with the crowd heat that actually affected my enjoyment for once. Someone like Flynn was great on the mat but just didn't have really any charisma to speak of so him in the US setting as a shooter would have been interesting to see if it could have worked on ability alone. ***

I wasn't too familiar with this one as I had only seen it once around a decade ago. That said, I am really familiar with the feud and would probably have this as 4th out of the series right now. That is astounding considering this is my #3 MOTY and I thought it was absolutely tremendous. The Kawada vs. Kobashi feud reaches a new chapter and the clamoring and delivery of the misawa vs. Kawada sequences was great stuff and had an electric feel every time they interacted. The slap sequence mentioned above had me fist pumping on my couch. The finish was built really well as you think that Misawas team might win after the first powerbomb kick out. Don't get me wrong, Misawa is still the ace here but Kobashi is now the #3 guy on the pecking order and Kawada takes a step forward with a big pinfall leading to the showdown looming vs. Misawa. ****3/4

Sting being weary of Flair was the highlight here. I can't even defend this as this was completely pointless and really needed Vince in zubaz.

Tammy seemed to be getting some cat calls already. morton saying oops at her name being Fytch was funny. Fytch has a point talking about RNR wardrobe around this timeframe.
