  1. I guess Chico and his hot sauce went elsewhere. Just as snowman/Lawler cools off we get the TX version with Jarrett/Iceman and I love every second of it. Jarrett is really good.
  2. Must say even though I liked tatum's promo, it is sad to see the changed man stuff go as there was a lot of legs left in my opinion. Jokes on dundee's height never gets old to me. Solid promo from Dundee.
  3. Really could have made this a cool back and forth debate on the day of the show but this got real stupid with Ole and El Gigante (my most hated person of 1990)
  4. Action was fairly good and actually went on longer than I figured. I am confused on the rules of this match and how much time there is. Dave also still calls this a technical loss so were still hanging on to the new USWA rules even though interference is as prevalent as ever. Gilbert is out with DWB and heeds a warning to all. Bruno had a good promo also. Great tv show overall and I love how USWA would fire off these once every 6 weeks of so.
  5. Who the hell idea was this? The karate moves were actually fairly coordinated but between the music and narration this was too much to take in.
  6. Watching 1994 before this yearbook and seeing how trustworthy some people in USWA were when they had no reason to be especially in regards to Eddie Gilbert. It was refreshing to see this blow up over a course of the show as all the cards were laid out and we had some new interesting developments and introduced Gilbert back into the fold. I love seeing Lawler and Dundee together as babyfaces.
  7. I really liked the sequence in the studio. The clips from the MSC were fine but went on way too long. I like Bill and Lawlers interactions and Eddie Gilbert makes his glorious return. We even get a get bucked chant when DWB comes out.
  8. I like get bucked and may start chanting it at random junctures from work to family gatherings. Snowman/Lawler still feels fairly fresh but they are already transitioning Lawler for other stuff with a clear heel in Bruno. Still interested to see where this develops.

  10. Vince was a bastard to the woman in the crowd. Volkolff and Duggan together doesn't really excite me much.
  11. I liked this as it showed how invested everyone in the locker room face and heel alike were in Hogan coming back.
  12. Well as much as 1990 may have opened eyes to a new GOAT contender in Dandy/Azteca we may have a new WOAT in this thing. Zues may have the worst strikes I have ever seen. Just a sight to behold.
  13. Really interesting match and I love Loss's description of the strengths and weaknesses of the match. There was some selling issue and a lot of errant kicks being thrown around. However, there was also a lot of good sequences and it was the best of people we have seen so far in 1990 (Yatsu and Kawada). Jumbo was also really relishing his role at the time. Real good match that has a changing of the guard feeling to it.

  15. Pretty disappointed in match of this as they built up the sequences for the women fine but didn't give enough good action with the men to justify. Post match is good but does lose some impact based on just what we saw with Tessa. This still is a pretty big show overall.
  16. Kind of sad farewell for Kerry in Texas and shame Borne no showed with how much promise the feud had.
  17. Not a ton to the match but some good exchanges. I especially liked the 4-5 punches Tatum gave and then he blew the double kiss to the crowd. The way they teased Tessa was well done and I didn't know where it was going. The superkick was really uncomfortable though. Good fired up promo by Dundee.
  18. Great match and I loved all the strategy with going after the eyes. Travis is really good as a babyface which is amazing considering how scuzzy he was as a heel earlier in the year. This mixed in southern style brawling with traditional tag formula really well. Falcone and Torres did everything well but Travis and Jarrett were the real stars.
  19. The coach here was awesome spitting out his tobacco. These promos are a little one note though.
  20. Flair has been hitting out of the park the best couple of promos and this was no exception finally given the match at the Bash the magnitude it deserves.
  21. This feels so dated and Hammer strumming along looked sad. I did like Bobby yelling one more time at the end of the song though.
  22. I am surprised of the hate filled passion in this match. You hear about how Kid/Lynn paved the way for indy stars in the future and I expected some dated spotfests. What we have gotten in both of their matches is a perfect fusion between an athletic junior style, and a hate filled territory program. Really enjoyed watching these two develop.
  23. Not a high tech match by any means but a great beefy slugfest. Vader does really great bumping around Wanz and the way they built to the power moves was really well done. Real good match overall.
  24. Perplexing match for me because I liked it but again couldn't really get invested in it. Wright had a lot of neat athletic reversals and some of the brawling and slamming of each others head in the mat was pretty vicious. This is probably a match I need to rewatch but the first time through, while good I felt it was kind of uninspired overall.
  25. I love these segments and especially Dawna. They make great comedic relief in between everything else going on in 1990.
