    We didn't get the 100,000 number thrown out in this clip but it is pretty crazy that Vince thought this was feasible and how badly reduced it ended up being.

    Hogan spells it out for us that it is not whether you win or lose so i guess we got some foreshadowing there. Warrior acting above mere mortals didn't exactly make him a sympathetic babyface either.

    Chilling promo by Jake. Clips we see are fine and I am glad that Jake gets revenge at the very end and the cheap finish for the heel made sense with Virgil there to help. I also love jesse being offended that Jake gives Mary Tyler Moore a hundred dollar bill.

    Didn't get this at all as a kid, find it mildly amusing now but even though its memorable, I guess its one of the things in wrestling I just don't get.

    This seemed like rambling Piper at his worst as his interview did nothing to hype up the match.

    Agree that the filming and sound is a little vacumnish but it is still astonishing to see a crowd this size for a wrestling event compared to what else we have seen so far. I have always loved this moment and think it is the perfect cap to Andre's stellar career.

    Agree with everyone else here and I got a certain Nasties vs. Cactus/partner 1994 vibe from this match and it was choatic and didn't overstay its welcome at all. The chairshots had lots of meaning and impact behind them. Really fun match that will probably at least end up in my top 100.

    I kind of have a different perception from Loss in that a match like this actually increases Lawler view in my eyes for GOAT contention. This is not a classic match but the crowd is with Lawler and the match every step of the way and it is matches like these that can still be entertaining without being too damaging on the body that allowed Lawler to have great matches in his late 50's with the Miz. The fireball was so unexpected to and was a nice ending.

    I was enjoying this and the first trip up the stairs to the press box and arm psychology but then this wouldn't end and went on forever to where at the end of the match, i was not invested. It was unique for US indies for the time, but I didn't think it was a particular good brawl and liked the post match chaos better than anything in the match.

    Embry at a church seems bizarre. Real strong promo by Embry but I didn't like Percy mugging for the camera all that much.

    Lawler faces another unique opponent and again takes down their flaws. It is amazing to me that Awesome was around at this time but didn’t pop up in the big two until a decade later.

    I can kind of see the overexposed line being true as he already repeats the "not going to be the same" jargon from his WCWSN interview.

    Liked seeing the entire card run down and Gene does seem legitimately excited with the real hard sell.

    Savage and Sherri both tried their hardest to make the program with Rhodes work. Really a feather in both of their overall career arcs to see how much they care in such a meaningless feud.

    Hogan comparing himself as Jesus is so weird and this promo is probably his worst one yet. Warrior's is not quite as bad but still rambles on. I hated this buildup.

    I also liked this as a table setting device for a feud in a few months. We have already seen this with Hulk/Earthquake.

    Kind of neat thing for Jesse to do going into the main event and given his general hatred of each wrestler.

    Interesting to see the Stud Stable split in match form vs. the interview segment they did in Memphis. This was a really good match with Lee not looking out of place and Fuller bringing good punches and elbows and some spots with Dundee. I don't know if I liked it as much as some of the other Texas stuff just because of how fond I am of the shtick but this was really good formula wrestling nonetheless. Good pop for Lee when he fights back to.

    This may end up as my #100 in the top matches thread as it was complete bullshit match but everything was done masterfully and played up as much as they could. Lowrance passing out was amazing and we get some more digs on Terrence being jealous that Valiant kissed him. Billy Joe lamely mimicking everything Valiant did was also awesome.

    This shit was awful with the closeups, Warrior's horrible outfit with facepaint, and them both spouting more nonsense. I am really shocked at how unmoving in retrospect the buildup in the match has been and we will see if it effects my opinion on the match.

    Didn't think the music fit as well here as the earlier video but the clips were fun.

    Good series of angles with Percy blading that looked graphic. I don't like Akbar promos but this was ok. I did love Embry coming back and telling the jobber to get the hell out of the way and crazy Percy was awesome to.

    I actually thought this was a real fun squash with them given the jobbers some offense before showcasing their double team moves. The ending with Pillman/ZMan getting the belts back was a great moment with the Cobb County Civic Center rocking.
