Feel like I am lower on this than everyone else because I am very unforgiving on how quickly Muto blew off the leg work. I have no problem with long mat work in the middle of the match as long as it is interesting and tells a great story. It was interesting here and a good cool down after the hot opening. The struggle and jockeying were well performed but then Muto makes his comeback hitting his backspring elbow, kip ups, dropkicks, and huge dives to the outside. The moves are impressive but the logic is lacking and I disconnected from the match. I would still classify it as a good match but I really wish the logic holes would have been filled because this had the structure of a hidden great match.

This match has the following things going against it: 1. Luger being legit sick and looking miserable. On the way to the ring he tells the cameraman to get the fuck out of the way. 2. One of those huge thunderdome, cheap looking cages that are hard to integrate into the match. 3. One of the dumbest finishes in history with a complete cheap feeling, Ole gaining control of the cage, El Gigante coming out to no response, and the Horseman hanging out right next to Gigante with him standing there picking his nose. With these overbearing parameters it truly is amazing that this is a very good match. Flair was wonderful and his blade job and bumping were sick. I really have to give credit to Luger because as sick as he was and as fucked over he might have felt, he still gave a courageous performance. Sting attacking Luger at the end was a good visual moment but I agree with Loss that a lot of traction was lost for that match up with the result of this one. This may be one of the most interesting matches in wrestling history to evaluate.

Good power moves match. It got a little sloppy at times but overall I enjoyed this a good bit and thought Doom looked better than ever up to this point.

This didn't look very good from the clips and the straps were practically an afterthought.

Fuck this crowd because this was great. I thought all 3 out of the 4 men were great in this match and Z - Man was also good. The FIP work on Pillman was gripping and the way the MX worked the match was genius. A really good tag match that shockingly may be the worst MX match on PPV in 1990.

Cornette can really sell having one put over on him. PRetty funny segment overall.

Agree that as corny as this was at least we got Arns baffled look and goofy Sid when they were running away from Robocop. How many people did they actually think would buy a PPV solely for this instead of renting the movie.

One of the great crazed Flair promos of all time as he looks really iconic and digs into Luger.

Angle is heating up and I would like to see their I quit match if it exists. Austin is really starting to find his voice.

Real good segment and I liked Dundee arguing that if he abused Tessa she would say she loved him to. Dundee is a bloody mess which resonated because oddly we have really not seen much blood so far in 1990.

I liked this segment a lot and it took some strategic planning for all the moving parts, but all parties and their actions ended up making sense and Young/Garvin is the new duo to feud with the Von Erichs.

Its weird how out of it and unhinged Borne is acting which kind of parallels how Kerry is at real live sometimes but yet I really enjoy Borne's character around this time. Another good promo from him.

Kerry promos have mostly turned into the sad category for me and I cant be bothered or amused at the weird shit he says. He vows revenger for borne which I anticpate given how great their last brawl was.

There is a way you can not guarentee a win but still sound strong going into a match and living up to your word. Luger didn't do that here.

Didn't even realize this was Tod Gordon. That makes this even more amazing. They hype for El Gigante was amusing considering how that turned out.

Cant add much to Loss and Peters excellent description but this really was something special and as a 15 minute segment had me on the edge of my seat the whole time. The two things I would like to reiterate is how awesome Eddie Marlin is and the uniqueness of the camera angles in making it look more like a shoot.

The setting did a lot for me in helping keep me interested and its kind of forward thinking with the 24/7 HBO build they are doing with Rude for this program.

Confession time: as a kid Tugboat was one of the first characters I remember and liked so he does have some sentimental attachment to me. Hogan loves bullying around Brother Love at this point and time.

A damn good match. One thing I am surprised about knowing the history coming up between Dandy/Azteca is how good the exchanges between Dandy/Atlantis are. I really wish the 6/8 title match between the two would surface up. The shoulder injury was played well here and I liked the pinfall reversal to end the final fall.

Kind of shocked how bad this match was. Unmasking of Misawa I thought was a cool moment though and unconventional from almost every other unmasking I can remember.

Brawl to end this was really good and intense. I should have seen the bit coming of Cornette cutting off Steiner but I didn't and the first time he did it, I laughed really hard.

Agree that knowing the family history makes this much more creepy to watch but there are a few eyeraising moments just on the surface level to.

Good promo by Dibiase and 1990 may be his best year feud wise as the stuff we have seen with Jake and now Bossman fit his character well.
