  1. That. Plus I reiterate my question. What about gays and lesbians ? Does that mean they are "not normal" by these bizarre, creepy standarts ? Because they sure as hell don't look for the alpha male that will provide the healthier seed or the best child-bearing hips woman.
  2. Well, from my experience, yeah. Not all of them, but some of them. Good looking too.
  3. I second this... I won't even bother responding to the vast amount of bullshit he calls "facts". Just point out the creepiest one to me : Jeez... Tons of woman are totally at ease with their sexual life, don't care about finding any "alpha male", and people who call them sluts are just a bunch of idiotic bigots assholes, that's all. And that should and hopefully will change. It already does, in some evolved circles of civilization... And what about, you know, gay and lesbians ?... Yep.
  4. That's pretty pathetic...
  5. Was about to respond to that but John beat me to the punch. The "programm" thing is bullshit, and life will tell you otherwise. Met women who had been with shitloads of guys, and guys who are with the same girl since they are 20. The double standart comes from the fact that it's still not accepted socially that a woman can have as much lovers as she wants to. A guy fucking tons of woman is a Don Juan. A woman fucking tons of guys is a slut. Basically because men fear women who have lot of lovers. It is bullshit.
  6. That's a good point. The difference is, WCW treated them like a huge deal and huge stars that they were supposed to be. Diesel had been the WWF champion for nearly one year, main eventing every PPV, and Razor had been one of the most recognizable face of teh company working in upper mid card and winning the IC title 4 times at a time it meant something. Of course what put them over the edge was Hogan, and like you said, Austin could have been their "third man", but the problem is WWF didn't talk about Booker and DDP like they were major stars. Writing made the difference. WCW wanted to ake money with the NWO. WWF just wanted to feed their own ego with the Invasion.
  7. Eaton had been a JTTS for years at this point, and was not even being featured on any of the two main WCW shows for 2-3 years at least. The WWF audience wouldn't even have recognized who the hell that guy was.
  8. The WWE may not die before long, but I feel like dying out of boredom every time I tried to watch one of their shows in the last 3 or 4 years.
  9. I don't know if it would do better business, but it certainly wouldn't do worse. They could do reasonnably good if they delivered a good alternative product without relying on washed up guys from the past and rejects from WWE. And I'm not saying doing good means doing good against WWE. Like I said, competing with Vince now is just not gonna happen. Doing good means running their business, delivering a good product that paying fans might enjoy, and not even thinking about WWE. That can be done. I'm not talking about being a competitive promotion to Vince, like you said, 1998 is not going to happen again.
  10. I agree about the name, it's mind-blowing that the promotion kept that name. Worst wrestling promotion name ever.
  11. So : Dick Murdock or Dick Slater ? Terry Taylor or Ted DiBiase ? Dan Kroffat or Dynamite Kid ? Greg Valentine or Don Muraco ?
  12. Of course you can blame Hogan, Bischoff, Russo, Flair, Dixie and whoever is responsible for this fiasco. Because although what you say about a new generation of wrestling fan only knowing about WWE is true, the fact remains that there is still place for an alternative product in wrestling. TNA doesn't work because the product is pure shit, and the wrestling fan who want an alternative just can't watch that crap for too long before just giving up. They could succeed, not at competing with WWE because no one can, but at establishing themselves as a viable alternative wrestling TV show, with their own audience. The blame totally goes on the people writing and booking that promotion, because they are just clueless and try to grasp an audience that doesn't exist anymore, the WCW crowd, by giving them what drove them away from wrestling in the first place. And it has never been worse on that matter than since Hogan and Bischoff came on board. There's a place for other wrestling than WWE, which is dull as dirt, and has been most of this decade. But TNA just isn't it, because it's shit, it's as simple as that.
  13. Man, Bischoff, Hogan and Russo have lost the Monday Nght War. Again. I'm actually surprised they do this, as it's really acknowledging the failure of the new regime. Can't wait to hear people blaming themselves. Dixie must feel like a complete tool.
  14. The "TNA fires douchebag" headline was ridiculously great.
  15. I haven't seen those particular Sano matches, but I have trouble believing they would rank right next to my beloved Tamura vs Volk Han & Khousaka matches. Then again, those are probably the most beautiful thing I've ever seen in my 20 years watching wrestling, so I'm not claming objectivity either when it comes to the absolute best RINGS stuff. I miss shoot style wrestling. And John mentionning Kansai as the WWWA champ reminds me that I miss joshi puroresu too.
  16. As much as I like Sano, and I like him a lot, he never was the absolute best at what he did like Tamura was. Although you could argue he was the best junior in the world in 89, before Liger got his stride. Tamura was just beauty in motion. Who knows how good he would have been at other styles if he had to make a transition, but the fact remains that he was the best shoot-style worker ever and delivered an amazing body of very good to great matches during his career.
  17. Not sure what "we'll turn your country into a parking lot" has to do with Wilsonian democracy-spreading but w/e. Did he really say that ? I knew about Stephy's comment, but I don't remember about Bradshaw. Doesn't surprise me one bit though. I'm glad I wasn't watching WWF anymore at this point. I would have thrown bricks at my TV set...
  18. And about Triple H being a douche, what about the obviously unsincere, forced "emotionnal" tribute to Owen ? Not to say he wasn't shaken by Owen's death, but he tried way too hard to look like he loved Owen so much.
  19. The kneedrop of course... Well, he got it from Harley actually, likewise the facial hair at one point. From Flair ? Hum... Before he'll retire, he'll probably have a similar world title number under his belt, or even more, even though they don't mean anything really. I don't see either. Oh yeah, he loves to do long matches. Except he can't do them (if you expect the miraculous one hour match with Rock which was all about smokes and mirrors and Rock becoming really good at that point).
  20. Oh, if only Steph had cheated on Triple H with Jericho or Angle, resulting in an ugly divorce... Oh, how things would have been different these past ten years...
  21. Yep. Much like he did Scott Steiner, who could have refresh the product as Big Poppa Pump was an excellent heel character and a WCW one to boot, so the WWF crowd would have surely hated him. So of course Steiner has to work face because god knows you don't want Big Poppa Pump to get actual heel heat because no one should be a bigger heel that Triple H. And of course Steiner gets to work those long "classic" Triple H style matches so he's exposed as a guy who can't work WWF style main event. Well done sir.
  22. Oh, that's right. I had totally erased that from my memory. Feuding with Chyna and.... Bob Holly at the Rumble while Triple H was getting over Cactus Jack in a bloody hardcore match for the WWF title.
  23. HHH must have shited himself out of fear when Jericho came in. He wasn't fully established yet as a true star, and Jericho was coming with a huge buzz and awesome production behind him, arguing with the red hot Rock on TV. Wonder why just a few months later he was feuding with X-Pac... Seriously, Jericho had the potential to be a huge money maker and megastar for the WWF, maybe not on the Rock level, but well above HHH. If there was one guy to kill quickly, that was him.
  24. That's a pretty big news. Although I never saw any talent in him whatsoever, he has been one of their top stars of the last few years. Rumours on him showing up in TNA 5... 4.... 3...
  25. Norton's is just insane. The guy was just *there*. Stevie Ray's was insane too, but at least he had that B&W NWO angle that was... Well, ok, Stevie Ray's is totally insane too. And Master P's bodyguard getting more than Vampiro, Hak, Mike Awesome and almost as much as Bigelow. Jeeez....
