Didn't hear what Dave said but he is insinuating on twitter that Bryan being added is not set in stone. At least that is what I think he's doing. Saying its "complicated"
So Chris Jericho thinks that it's inevitable that Vince is just going to push Reigns no matter what so he thinks Bryan should turn heel and feud with Reigns over the title. Turning Bryan sounds WCW but to be honest it might be the only way he can stay on top of the card for the foreseeable future.
he also thinks they should do Rollins v Bryan v Reigns v Lesnar at WM (not happening cause Rollins is clearly working Orton)
re: Shawn/Rock
there was also the promo in Summer 2002 when the NWO turned on Booker T where Shawn mentioned Rock trying to take the spotlight from Hunter or something of that nature. People were pissed about that one
I thought from the beginning they would attach a stip to Sting/HHH but realy what the hell is the point when the company is basically admitting stips mean nothing
yeah, here's round 2.

good cop, bad cop or new kayfabe?
terrifying thing is if Hunter and Steph aren't fighting for Bryan, who is?
it is a strange dynamic. Bryan is often portrayed as a big star on TV but is mostly an afterthought on the big PPV shows. I don't really understand why they keep teasing their audience like that. I mean trolling, LOLz, but other than that...
So I assume Steph calling Bryan an A+ player in the BR article was the "good cop/bad cop" front because that statement seemed asinine a few days later at the Rumble. Completely ridiculous
I'm actually shocked some people are predicting .Bryan is going to go over Reigns at the PPV. They either have Dolph screw him over or Reigns wins clean and they have Bryan give him the babyface seal of approval
One tidbit I took from this is that people within the industry seem legitametly baffled by the crowd rebellions. Not even strictly from a business perspective (although that is the most important obviously) but also from a "wow, I can't believe people are taking this so seriously" angle. Like the fans booing and complaining are thinking about this much more thoroughly and profoundly than the wrestlers and decision makers themselves. Wrestling bubble.
They are trying to get sympathy for .reigns by having the Authority mess with him. They think that along with going over .bryan will get the fans to accept him. It probably makes sense to them. That's if they even care
I vaguely remember Mero getting upset with his match with Goldust at Summerslam 96 because he didn't get to hit his finisher (havent seen this match in ages so I don't recall if he hit the move) I think he was more upset with that than jobbing
im pretty sure that was Hunter's criticism of him as well. he didn't really care how the match turned out he was only interested in hitting his spots so he looked good. Come to think of it I think Sean Waltman said the same thing
Hope Austin grills Hunter about all of this on Monday but all I expect is more corporate double speak.
I know they have to say stuff like this but the company should really stop with the "listening to the fans" mantra in public. No one buys it anymore or anywhere. Again it's an easy target for Austin to go for. Hope he goes for it.
Dave has reiterated that no matter what the company is not changing plans or adding Bryan to the title match
