In general, I like them bringing guys in for 1-2 shows instead of just hiring everyone under the sun. Having a guy like Redbeard in a pre-show grudge match six man because Fenix got injured is perfectly fine and switches things up a bit. He can do a single shot again in 2023 if he's around too. I'd be fine with that.

Maybe Monday. Honestly not sure how we're dealing with the PPV this week, if Eric will cover live as he used to do with WWF PPVs or Phil will be on a podcast after for the Ringer, or when I'll be even able to make it through the PPV to review, but normal Monday night/Tuesday morning Five Fingers of Death would be looking at Danielson vs Daniels The Darby three way Jericho vs Kingston Danielson vs Mox The Darby six man tag and Punk vs MJF And that's a lot to cover. My guess is that if we don't cover it this week, we'll do it some week where there's no Punk/Danielson/Kingston/Dustin or Darby match though. When we do cover it, though, and it was definitely worth covering, you'll get exactly the sort of review you want out of me. If that's something you're actually looking for, I doubt you'll be disappointed.

Is Jericho’s wife a draw? -
I did this in 2014. That seems like a million years ago.

The Benoit vs RVD feud in a nutshell.

Having watched her last few matches, I think Brandi's pretty good at taking offense. I'll stop there because I try to be a good person. Also, I didn't mind that Nakazawa spot. There were way more hilariously egregious things in the match. Taz and Excalibur were losing it.

Did anyone listen to Cody and Amanda Huber on Unrestricted this week? Did not sound like a guy leaving the AEW charity work at all. Why even do that podcast if you're on your way out?

Even if that’s the case… He has presence. He has charisma. He has size. He has a roster to help him create motion so long as he can be amazing at creating emotion.

It was a great thread. My takeaway is one of diminishing returns and a 50% grade at best. But I guess that matches my priors.

"The Absolutely Allowed Door"

I'm not saying he should constantly be making it about him, but he should be using the Rampage commentary slot to set up potential programs with everyone in a "make fun of Bossman's mother" sort of way. Just planting seeds that could pay off.

Literally only here. You just happen to be here.

I couldn't have been more wrong. Nothing is worth bringing Nia in.

I’ve certainly enjoyed her on Dark, especially teaming with Emi.

WWE TV 01/31 - 02/06 Roman gunning for that 600 day reign
Matt D replied to KawadaSmile's topic in WWE
What are the biggest pops/heat for WWE of the last five-six years? Shane returning on Raw has to be up there, and it was up there as much for him and who he was as for the fact it was just an absolute surprise that no one expected. Not one of those debuts where a bunch of the crowd have signs for the person because they at least expect the possibility of it. -
Break it down 2: Alternative match structures

Let me drop a few things I've written here. My post on figuring out Lucha trios matches finally from 2015: And my recent post struggling with 89 AJPW heavyweight tag structure: -
They could have done a hell of a lot worse than just letting Otis win.

Got a window to watch something now, but I saw they were starting with Rollins instead of one of the Rumbles. If I cared, it'd make me worried they're doing Rollins beats Reigns > Reigns wins Rumble > Reigns challenges Brock. Regardless, I'm not using my precious time tonight to watch wrestling without having to also parent and what not on Seth Rollins, so I'm going to watch @elliott's education for me of Inoki/Sakaguchi vs Fujinami/Kimura instead.

Can he bring them the A&W sponsorship?

Anyway, it's like anything else... John Silver has a ceiling. If he's pushed and protected to a certain degree, he can be used effectively for certain things. Cassidy has a ceiling. Danhausen has one too. I'm interested in seeing him interact with Billy Gunn on webshows and drive Austin and Colton crazy. I'm not particularly interested in seeing him interact with Sammy or Wardlow or Malakai Black.
-
Technically, both he and Cassidy are trickster archetypes, no?
-
Time to bring back the Librarian gimmick I guess.

You're right. It's inappropriate to kink shame simps who get off on abuse (or anyone really) in 2022. People are allowed to love however they like, but it's probably not the healthiest relationship imaginable.

Cole vs Kaun from last night: There's probably nothing in wrestling I hate more right now than the opening of Adam Cole's studio matches. The fans sing along to the song. They do the boom. Then he teases throwing the shirt. They go nuts for it. He kicks it away denying them all. Do they boo? No. The match starts. Cole locks up. He disengages. He shouts Adam Cole Bay-Bay. They all chant along. What a bunch of pathetic losers. In the end, though, it's Cole's fault. He's the one conducting the music. If he realizes that the reactions are broken, he needs to change something. This isn't some sort of meta-thing where he's trying specifically to get under my skin. It's just him being a cool heel and the crowd eating it up. But it's gross that they get such a kick out of him abusing them and then go right back for more and I don't even want to watch his matches after that. Anyway Kaun looked ok but not necessarily better than Bison in the next match, so whatever.
