What Dave wrote in the Observer today: Mike Johnson said the same thing. This is actually the plan. Far cry from the Finlays, Steamboat's cameo matches on house shows and the Jerichos.
-
John Morrison too. They want these grizzled vets ( ) to teach the young roster how to work and to do TV programs/jobs.

Guys this is exceptionally special take the time to click on the following links and try not to get glassy eyed in the process. 5 year old with cancer got to finally meet Daniel Bryan after a youtube campaign: http://withleather.uproxx.com/2012/12/wwe-...r-no-lock-video The unedited video of the meet: http://www.wpxi.com/videos/news/pittsburgh...-hero-wwe/vkdYf

Jump on this my North American friends in case of it being taken down When Wrestling Was Golden: Grapples, Grunts and Grannies (BBC - 2012):
-
As a standalone show I thought Night One was a chore relying far too much on comedy and nostalgia. However that dissipates to more manage levels on Night Two and Three. Really liked Meng's passion as even though he was fairly blown up and old he but kept coming and coming at his opponents. Tatanka acquitted himself well on Night One but time stands still in his match with Sugar Dunkerton.

But it does with Dave. The person this thread is about and the person who made that statement. I don't hear Wrestlers talk about those two like they do with Lynn though. With Lynn it is more of a "and he is a good guy" rather than "but he is a good guy" if you get me.

His peers have an entirely different view. I think that aspect has to be acknowledged. I personally like him in once in a while small doses.

The British Wrestling documentary for BBC4 TV over here looks really great: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b01p96ly Thursdays at 9pm and repeated during the week also. The old footage looks really impressive. 4 clips are included in the above link - hopefully without any region blocking: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p0127b6q http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p01279my http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p0127975 http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p01278xv

I know how the PR game works and everything but still this has interesting implications in terms of gay baiting and free speech: http://outsports.com/jocktalkblog/2012/12/...with-him-again/

We finally have our own day: http://nationalprowrestlingday.com/ Vague details so far. It was announced on the CHIKARA iPPV. Anyone going to come out to their parents?
-
You can add Sandow to that list FLIK. HHH personally choose Sandow to interrupt the DX reunion at RAW 1000. Sean Waltman said he and HHH are really impressed by how much a student of the game Sandow is. That Kharma interview was really interesting. Rumour and myth busting. Conception changing about WWE and their assumed treatment of her too. WWE really rolled out the red carpet for her and she thought her release was appropriate and overdue. Seems like WWE will rehire her on the condition she gets her weight and mental health sorted.

Did you know where film came from, John? Someone's attic or a dusty warehouse?

From what I remember as I watched WCW 1998 some time ago, it was really all about "swerve", and no good reason was ever given, and really nothing came out of it. One of the most illogical and worthless nWo turn of the bunch, but they thought they that had to keep the angle "fresh" with new people at this point. Yeah that was the real reason obviously. On screen Dusty briefly said he was sick of the "Yes men in the back."

Tom needs to do Super Dragon or Zandig to settle things. A viable theory from the F4W board is:
-
For those who don't know Tom Lawler is a UFC Fighter does a Pro Wrestling cosplay gimmick during his entrances with little support from Dana. At the weigh ins he did this: In response Dave tweeted: Genuinely interested in your guys opinion on this. Is he right or is he totally completely discounting the Wrestlecrap/Botchamania afterlife it has had online? 1993 WCW was hardly a formative period of the people I know online. Somehow I don't think press row would pop for Charlie Norris or Big Sky if they appeared on the big screen at a UFC show.

Jerry Jarrett is on Twitter! https://twitter.com/JerryJarrett

To me it would like if the 1993 Lawler allegations were true. Lawler has a little bit of that 70s cheesyness about him that Saville had. You can blame the Benoit thing in part at least on grief and heat of the moment. The Saville thing had an insidious Catholic Church abuse style culture of silence about it.

An amusing one-two of stories on the Observer site: First this: http://www.f4wonline.com/more/more-top-sto...-angle-from-raw Then this of Sabu in the ambulance fame: http://www.f4wonline.com/more/more-top-sto...ng-this-weekend

Jerry Jarrett on Facebook - who has had heart scares himself:
-
So the Heyman heart attack is essentially sowing the seeds for a Lawler return to the ring?
-
It is a different show. The Lance Russell show with Dave and Bryan is also another reason to sign up.
-
3 if you count the show they did on Alan's show after Episode 31: Which is behind the F4W paywall.

You guys should be listening to Colt Cabana's Art of Wrestling weekly anyway but Jame Dundee was on it this week: http://tsmradio.com/coltcabana/2012/11/07/...0-jamie-dundee/ One thing I was wondering as I haven't heard seen anyone here or DVDR comment on her but do people have any thoughts on Sweet Saraya? She took the US by storm in the past two years in Shimmer and recently other US Indies. She got so hot so quickly Prazak put the Shimmer title on her and has booked the main event scene around her. She is a veteran of the traditional British Wrestling and the mother of WWE developmental talent Paige.

No he was expecting. The why is more of the issues. Enjoyed this. Looking forward to next year's debate given the freshening up of the ballot.

Davey Richards is narrator of the Dynamite Kid Highspots Kickstarter documentary. Hmmm.
