Holy shit, that Fenix rope spot!
-
So, with Black/Brock as the main event, Cody’s definitely coming back tonight, isn’t he?
-
She should call those dives “red velvet pancakes”. Delicious.
-
Damn. They nailed it.
-
Jericho has gotten really bad about unnaturally getting into position for things. Like after the top-rope rana, he switched sides on the cover so MJF could reverse into the armbar. It just looked awkward. He does that kind of thing a lot lately.
-
I can’t stand that song, but damn did it get the crowd riled up.
-
Oh fuck yeah. Miro vs Eddie!
-
Think Kenny’s shirt is a subtle hint on Friday’s debut?
-
I was thinking going into this show that if the tag match went on last, then Jurassic Express was winning. If not, Bucks retain. Let’s see if I’m right.
-
Yeah, it’s just too bad they couldn’t have called an audible in the match itself. If S&O won, it would’ve made more sense. I’m glad they’re keeping them feuding so we can hopefully see an uninterrupted match between them.
-
They’re trying to sort of retcon the Santana & Ortiz/FTR feud. Now S&O are saying FTR ran after the arm cut, but FTR won that match. They really should’ve called an audible, but whatcha gonna do?

Jesus. A four man booth for Rampage? Oof.
-
I believe Kahn himself has confirmed that he was Coach Tony K.

Also, the C-shows would sometimes come to areas (like where I grew up) that didn't get shows at all. So, seeing Jim Neidhart vs JYD as a main event was fine. It's WWF! They're in our town!
-
And how many wrestlers can say they've got a great Mountain Goats song about them? (Quite a few, actually.)
-
Wow. I never thought not liking Bravo-style reality shows would be the thing that alienated me from this board. I’m a weirdo now, I guess. I’m just a little sad nerd living in my little wrestling bubble.

Don't throw Cornette's name in there to try to paint me as some loony. I made a post about how I don't like this new reality show and you came at me with a bunch of crap about how I'm a bad fan and people like me are going to make AEW fail, blah blah blah. Don't take your high road now. Other people called you our for the same stuff here. I know it's your thing to pick some random-ass point and then dig in on it, so go for it. In a year, when the Rhodes reality show is the biggest thing on television and it's skyrocketed AEW to newfound heights, you can rub it in my face.
-
Oh, fuck off. I'm a fan of AEW and I am very positive about them overall. This reality show isn't going to insure the future of the wrestling company or any of the other bullshit your grasping for here. Making Dynamite the best show it can be will insure their future. Some reality show done with nothing remotely unique from every other one out there isn't going to do that. Plus, do you even know if the show will bring any income to AEW itself or to just the Rhodes family? Let's not forget that Total Divas was on Bravo. That's a network known for it's reality shows. It has a built-in fanbase that will watch anything new they put out. That definitely helped them. Cody and Brandi aren't that recognizable to the general public. People aren't going to stop and watch because that blonde dude from the show with Snoop Dogg is on. Quit clutching your pearls at me for not seeing how this show will help at all.
-
I honestly don’t give a flying fuck what this new reality show could do for AEW. I don’t want to see that shit. I don’t want to have to see stupid ass recaps and commercials for it when I watch Dynamite. I just hope it tanks quickly.

This wasn’t a show that had a blow away angle or match or anything, but it didn’t have any real stinkers, either. It was cool seeing some fresh faces featured this week. Silver gets a big main event and Conti got a huge win. The Bucks/Lucha Bros six man was fun. There were some good promos in there too. One thing I wish AEW would learn, though: not every match has to have a post-match beat down or faction brawl. They do it soooo much. Sometimes, it’s ok for a match to just end and go to the next segment.

He’s probably the wrestler that I’ve thought, “Oh god! He’s really injured/knocked out.” the most. Like, if I was a wrestler, I’d want to work with him every night. You know your shit is going to look good against him.
-
It’s nice that they’re giving some story to a couple of the Elevation matches through quick little vignettes.
-
What the hell happened at the end of that segment with Hardy? Like, it just seemed like he stopped mid-thought and then everyone stood there for a while.
-
I think I believe his promos more than anyone else. That’s definitely something.
