  1. I gotta think this ranks pretty low on the list of scummy things a Von Erich has done.
  2. He had a pretty decent Smackdown run in '06, too.
  3. There's a massive WTF for ya. I don't know the procedure. Is the idea that the firemen on the scene see what might be arson and then call in the specialists? Or is a specialist always called in when a business burns down, and Dave is making news out of it? Also, because I don't know the difference between work and shoot: Maybe she went crazy again? Someone killed her damn spider, and now she has to lash out? Louisville Fire always calls in arson on business fires.
  4. A young CM Punk on Bozo. Seriously.
  5. I think I kinda get what you're saying here, but could you elaborate?

  7. Are there any Gordy/Blackwell matches out there? I'd have to think they'd be a lock for the dvdvr set.
  8. Yeah, I guess I was thinking of Shawn in his first title reign. That was a really rough period for Vince, wasn't it?
  9. Mathematical evidence that Michaels was a bigger draw than Hart could be the thing that finally sends Bret fully over the edge.
  10. Did any of those Hogan/Valentine matches make tape? For some reason, that match intrigues me.
  11. I think Gorilla called Carlos Colon a youngster too in the Rumble 93. Of all people, Gorilla screwing up with Colon's legacy ? I think Gorilla had tongue firmly in cheek with that "youngster" comment in regards to both guys.
  12. Awww, my first show. I had so much fun. I actualy remember the Beefcake/Poffo match being my favorite. I thought Brutus was the shit when I was 8. I also remember being scared during the Orndorff/Hogan match. We were in the upper level and people were throwing all kinds of stuff into the ring after Hogan got dq'd. Threads like this one is why this is my favorite wrestling place on the whole internets.
  13. Has Dave ever busted out an ice skating/pro wrestling comparison? Ice skating has colorful costumes and it's an exhibition of moves put together to pop a crowd/judges. Seems a pretty apt comparison.
  14. Yeah, I couldn't recall Test ever getting his revenge. I guess it is here that begins the legend of the evil HHH: burier of wrestlers.
  15. Was there ever a major HHH/Test match on PPV to blow that off?
  16. Well he's kinda right for the most part. Punk made a name for himself in the midwest working for IWA and in St. Paul. During the same time-frame, American Dragon, Low Ki, Spanky, and others were way more well known and worked a hell of a lot more places. Punk wasn't even doing much in ROH until the Raven feud, and it was a Raven-style program, carried more by promos and interviews rather than matches. I agree with that. Punk had a little of a name coming off the long Hero matches in IWA. It was really the Raven fued that put him on the map, so to say.
  17. I just noticed that the backstage area is always refered to as "the locker room area". Not that it's odd or anything, it's just that's what it's always called.
  18. As baffling as Hogan's rating is, I'm more surprised by Hennig's. Why so high on him?
  19. I'd imagine that if one of the actors from Lost had gone around posting things about the ending on message boards, the people who write the show and ABC would've been none to happy. In fact, a lot of times shows like that don't even let the actors see the finished script until it's time to shoot. There have even been cases in tv and movies where directors have shot multiple endings so that the actors and crew wouldn't know which one is real. Also, there have been many, many athletes fined for tweeting or speaking out against their particular league or officials. Coaches have been hit, too. I get what you're saying about ROH. In particular, how hypocritical it is that they produce shoot interviews. I can see them not wanting their trainees blabbing about their training on message boards, though. I doubt that my boss would want me writing online what goes on day-to-day at work.
  20. Do you really put Garnett ahead of LeBron as the top "heel"? I mean, he did just (allegedly) call a dude with a disease that causes him to have no body hair a "cancer patient". But LeBron had people burning shit in the streets. That's some Santo turn-level shit right there. Are the Yankees the top heel stable? Is Ozzie Guillen a great heel manager? This is so dumb, but fun.
  21. I was wondering last night if that was actually the worst thing I've ever seen on WWE programming. I mean, yeah, Katie Vick, Gobbeldegooker, whatever. At least those things were sort of self-contained. They didn't really address anything outside the world of WWE-land. I gotta think Linda's people were not happy when it aired.
  22. It's funny that you mention that. I think that I actually learned a lot about geography when I was a kid from watching wrestling. They'd announce Andre as being from Grenoble, so I'd look it up in my atlas. I was always intrigued by the Million Dollar Man's various residences and look them up.
  23. I think on general principal, people who wear wrestling t-shirts to vote anywhere should be turned away.
  24. While Saturn had fallen on hard times, his friend The Rock was nice enough to pass down some of his old shirts.
  25. Can we just go ahead and copy that analogy over to the "The greatest things ever written on wrestling message boards" thread?
