WingedEagle Posted August 21, 2013 Report Posted August 21, 2013 Cornette brings out $20K in cash out to put on the line in a tag title match vs. the Fantastics.
GSR Posted September 10, 2015 Report Posted September 10, 2015 The Fantastics were so cowardly and scared of the Heavenly Bodies that they wouldn't get in the ring with them for any amount of money, but Cornette eventually found their price. Robert J. Lacey, the vice president of the Third National Bank in Morristown is accompanying them and has the $20,000 in a briefcase. Cornette then promises the Fantastics that they are not getting their hands on the money and the Heavenly Bodies are taking it, and the tag belts home with them.
garretta Posted April 1, 2016 Report Posted April 1, 2016 A nice self-explanatory segment to set up the tag title match later in the show. I'm guessing that Lacey was legit; he looked too ill at ease to have much experience in the business.
dawho5 Posted April 18, 2021 Report Posted April 18, 2021 That did indeed look like 20k. Wonder if the bank knew what was going to happen with that money later.
