They show footage from a Lawler/Gilbert match at a Mississippi house show where Lawler regained the USWA title. We know he sees wrestling for what it is, but Lawler really seems genuinely excited about how into the match the fans were in this building. In a funny moment, Dave Brown asks Lawler if he'll come out and do color commentary later in the show and Lawler jokes that he's never done anything like that.

Lawler really goes out of his way to put over the house show fans being on his side which is cool. They seemed pretty lively from the clips.

This was a cool interview. I loved Lawler praising the Mississippi fans and joking that he's never done color commentary. Fun stuff.

Real different Lawler promo from the ones I am used to. He really praised the town in Mississippi and the nod at his WWF color work was funny. Lawler didn't have as good rhythm here as he normally does in promos but they may have been the genuine approach he was wanting to take.

Lawler has regained the Unified World title, and talks of the support of the fans of Senatobia, Mississippi. With Eddie Gilbert involved, this thing SCREAMS "phantom title change," but nope--they have video proof of it. Cool little segment, with a different sort of atmosphere for a Memphis house show match.
