Loss Posted May 31, 2012 Author Report Posted May 31, 2012 Funny seeing the HOF as such a small thing at this point. Quote
Kevin Ridge Posted June 2, 2012 Report Posted June 2, 2012 Hall of Fame ceremony is just a couple minute recap on SuperStars. Vince seems to be more of an on screen presence at this. Regis Philbin is a presenter. Nice to see some of these guys altogether at that time. Gorilla seems emotional about his induction. Quote
Exposer Posted June 11, 2012 Report Posted June 11, 2012 Yes, the HOF is taken very lightly here compared to today. Quote
soup23 Posted June 17, 2012 Report Posted June 17, 2012 Agreed that is was nice to see the HOF have such humble beginnings and some would say this was a more genuine appreciation for past performers. Cool segment. Quote
PeteF3 Posted April 28, 2014 Report Posted April 28, 2014 Almost all WWF lifers in this class. "Manager extraordinaire" James Dudley among them. I guess I don't know why I should be surprised that Backlund was there, but somehow I am. Savage says a few words in his normal voice--which is always jarring, even if as the years go by it got less and less distinguishable from his wrestling voice. Vince in the background seems to be genuinely having a ball. Nice and classy all the way around. Quote
flyonthewall2983 Posted March 6, 2015 Report Posted March 6, 2015 More was put up on the Network lately, though not in it's entirety. Considering their money troubles, putting out something like this on video or airing it on TV wasn't as viable as it would be a decade later. Arnold Skaaland's whole bit about Shane taking over for Vince is weird to watch now to say the least. I liked Monsoon's speech, funny and touching at the same time. Sad to hear him talk about his kids considering Joey would die just weeks later. Quote
