Yes! It begins! Backlund challenges Bret to a match for the first time, and this is intentionally unintentionally creepy.

Music and video footage shows Backlund from a different era of wrestling. His suit does not fit him. He makes a challenged to Bret Hart. Backlund seems a bit more heelish (though minor) here than I remembered.

I don’t know if they had Backlunds whole angle set up when he redebuted but it did look like that at least the seeds were being planted here.

This is pretty well-produced. Backlund is still quiet and respectful, but takes a backhanded shot at Arnold Skaaland for costing him the title. Bret's had quite a bit on his plate this month.
