Loss Posted November 3, 2012 Author Report Posted November 3, 2012 This promo is the best from Tony Atlas yet. He's cool, calm and collected. Quite simply, he's the champ.
PeteF3 Posted November 9, 2012 Report Posted November 9, 2012 Atlas talks trash to, I'm presuming, Rochester Roadblock. Again...work issues aside, it's incredible that only fucking ICW saw fit to see the things that Atlas could still bring to the table.
soup23 Posted November 23, 2012 Report Posted November 23, 2012 Yeah Atlas looks real established and I loved the line of everyone else having the mouth, but he has the gold.
Kevin Ridge Posted January 18, 2013 Report Posted January 18, 2013 Tonight is your night. He could have been a good motivational speaker.
Cox Posted January 19, 2013 Report Posted January 19, 2013 Tony Atlas has been a revelation on this set so far. I honestly had no idea he was a good talker.
garretta Posted December 18, 2014 Report Posted December 18, 2014 Tony channels Ric Flair a bit before going into his own verbal comfort zone. Another tremendous promo from an unexpected source. The question is: How did he get so good on the stick all of a sudden? On another note from a previous promo (March 3, I believe), the idea of Tony Atlas wrestling Ivan Putski in 1990 tickles me for some strange reason.
drew wardlaw Posted December 29, 2015 Report Posted December 29, 2015 Cool promo. I actually remember this one. He's really confident and calm. I love a cool, collected promo.
GSR Posted December 15, 2016 Report Posted December 15, 2016 Atlas tells Roadblock that tonight is your night of defeat, tonight is your night to meet the man, and tonight is your night to get whupped like you’ve never been whupped before. He’s not going to meet no imitation, he’s going to meet the real deal! It doesn’t matter how he comes out of the match, just as long as he comes out with the gold. Sure, Roadblock may be 6’9”, 375lbs and just got through beating four men at one time, but tonight is his night to learn respect. Everybody has been asking what makes him so big and tough? It’s because he’s got the gold whereas everyone else who comes out here has just got their mouth. The belt shows you what he’s all about. Look at who’s wearing the strap and that will tell you who the man is. Best Atlas promo so far. He’s calm, measured, composed and just gets the point across. No wasted words, and no over the top facials or mannerisms like in the earlier interviews. He’s finally found his groove as a heel promo, and like others have said, pretty amazing that no-one else could get this out of Atlas.
