Loss
Royalty expects loyalty, baby! Savage is elated that Sapphire "willfully" kissed his feet, but he insists on Dusty doing the same to Sherri. Sherri NEVER stops working. She is going crazy with hand gestures and facial expressions the whole time Savage talks. She is a woman who earned her pay.
soup23
Another good Savage interview but the feud definitely feels played.
Kevin Ridge
Sleazy Gene gives Sherri the looking over. Macho says Dusty must kiss his foot too but that he actually wants Rhodes to kiss Sherri’s feet instead.
Cox
Never let it be said that Savage and Sherri didn't give this gimmick their all. They are playing it full tilt, completely bonkers as king and queen and it's great. It's definitely a midcard gimmick, but they are making the most of this midcard gimmick, more than I suspect most would.
garretta
With apologies to Harley Race and Bobby Heenan, Savage and Sherri are the best pair ever to have the royalty gimmick in the WWF. I'm not talking about the King of the Ring tournament or Lawler showing up as The King of Memphis, I'm talking about the original crown-and-robe schtick that was done with Race in mind. Harley and the Brain were quite the pair, but Bobby didn't work a tenth as hard in the sidekick role as Sherri did, and this interview stands as proof. I loved her begging Randy to force Dusty to kiss both of her feet; it just seems so in character somehow. I loved Gene also: "And they call these two royalty." Also, I don't think Harley was much of a character promo; he was a good straight ahead talker, but he couldn't really get into the royal metaphors and still sound like a buttkicker at the same time, and Bobby, beyond the "show proper respect for the King" bit, never really got into it either, at least not like these two. Haku didn't need the gimmick at all, and neither did Duggan.
drew wardlaw
Macho King/Queen Sherri DESTROYS Macho/Liz if you ask me. And as good as Macho is, Sherri is just an absolute force. Just howling and moving non stop.
GSR
The ‘Sensational Queen’ Sherri and ‘Macho King’ Randy Savage are out for an interview with Mean Gene. Bobby Heenan wolf whistles on seeing Sherri, while Monsoon refers to them as two highly controversial and despicable figures! Savage says that the ‘Macho King’ and the ‘Sensational Queen’ have all their R-E-S-P-E-C-T back. When Sapphire paid homage to the ‘Macho King’ by wilfully crawling over and kissing the royal foot she showed respect, but that is only half of what this is all about. Gene wonders what the other half is? Savage says that the other half is when he meets the ‘American Dream’ in the squared circle and the common man wilfully crawls over, bends down and kisses the royal foot of the ‘Sensational Queen’. Sherri is rather excited about this prospect and wants the ‘Dream’ to kiss both of her feet! Savage says that after he’s done that and degraded himself to the highest level just like Sapphire, then each and every one of the commoners and peasants all over the world will take turns in kissing the royal feet of the ‘Macho King’ and the ‘Sensational Queen’. dawho5
I just can't help thinking that Sherri is one of the lost highlights of late 80s/early 90s wrestling. The Rose/Somers stuff in AWA and this put her on the Heenan level of managers around this time for me.
