PeteF3
Lawler explains what it means to "delegate authority," and instead of taking out Dundee himself and collecting a John Tatum bounty, he's bringing in...THE INHUMAN. Lawler is already teasing a babyface turn for this guy.
Loss
Pete says it. This is one of Lawler's best promos on the set, but something about him calling his greatest opponent "trivial" doesn't seem right. I wish Lawler had some "You may be good, but I'm still better" stuff, but he completely undermines everyone on the opposite side of the fence. soup23
Lawler could give a little more credit to his opponents but I loved this promo and the systematic way he is going to collect the bounty.
Kevin Ridge
Lawler is good at delegating authority. Lawler doesn’t feel like dirtying his hands on someone like Dundee but will still get the bounty. He's keeping busy with all these feuds. Cox
This feels really out of place for me airing after the Lawler/Snowman stuff. This is too pro wrestling and the Snowman stuff is too shooty for these two things to air back to back and work for me.
garretta
This is a Texas promo, not a Memphis one. Not only is Lawler talking about Tatum, who isn't wrestling on the Memphis side, but he's doing the promo in either the locker room or the shower, which is typical of his Texas stuff. Texas doesn't recognize the Dundee/Lawler history either, so Bill really is just another insignificant opponent for the King, at least to the Dallas fans. I wonder who this "Inhuman" was supposed to be. Whoever he is, we don't actually see him wrestle on this set. Why would Lawler put Dundee over as an opponent when he's not even going to wrestle him? He's sending this "Inhuman" character to face Bill instead, so why shouldn't he have a good time burying him?
drew wardlaw
Slightly jarring watching this right after the Snowman match. Stoked to hear John Tatum put out a bounty on Dundee's head and Lawler is bringing in the INHUMAN to handle to job. I love a good bounty in pro wrestling. Also, I can't defend it and it's unprofessional and counterintuitive but I love it when Lawler buries opponents. It's always hilarious. GSR
‘The King’ explains the meaning of ‘delegating authority’ for all the clod kicking, tobacco chewing, breathe stinking, dirt farmers out there, and says that it is something he is very good at. His close personal friend, John Tatum, has a job he wants doing and he wants Bill Dundee eliminated. He doesn’t care who does it or how they do it, but he’s prepared to pay a nice amount of money to whomever gets the job done. While he could go out and squash him like the minute little roach that he is, he doesn’t feel like dirtying his hands on something as slimy and trivial as Bill Dundee. What he does therefore, is get someone to do it for him and still collect the money. He’s found a man that will do the job, and he’s called ‘The Inhuman’! He’s 6’4” and weighs over 400lbs, but he has the brain the size of a black eyed pea. This man is going to be more than glad to do his dirty work then hand him over the money because he’s not that smart, just like Bill Dundee’s fans! He’s a little bit too stupid to realise when he hurts somebody, so don’t expect any sympathy from him. He doesn’t have any compassion to feel sorry for you. If he breaks your arm or snaps one of your little legs he’s just going to get a sadistic little smile on his face because he knows he’ll be making him happy, and that’s all he cares about doing. The Inhuman is going to do away with Bill Dundee once and for all and then he’s going to collect all that money from John Tatum
