Cornette is in Memphis! Cornette thinks Lawler knows Gilbert is the one who put the bounty on him, which contradicts what Lawler just said. Cornette announces that he is returning to Memphis, along with the Fabulous Ones, to help watch Jerry Lawler's back. He promises to neutralize Sam Bass. This is a cool twist, and it's fun to see Cornette in a new environment.

Cornette is bringing the Fabulous Ones back together to watch over Lawler and for Cornette to counteract Sam Bass Lowe. Cornette is a breath of fresh air here, not that the USWA was getting stale or anything. Good promo from all 3 guys and the Fabs return comes off as a pretty huge deal.

Cornette. Where you been? Jim talks about the bounty against Lawler. The Fabulous Ones are back together to help back up Lawler and stop the bounty from being collected. No more Midnights. I'm curious to see what involvement Cornette had in wrestling in 91.

Cornette is back where he got his start. Cornette is bringing in the Fabolous ones to watch the King's back but I don't know if I trust that.

Corny and Stan are their old selves, but Keirn's looking a bit rugged. I never thought I'd see Corny as a face in Memphis even briefly, but here's the proof in living color. Fabs/Gilberts and Fabs/DWBs are two intriguing matchups to shake up the tag scene as we move to 1991.

 

I wonder how Lawler's going to react to Corny's presence in Memphis, especially since he already has Jarrett and Dundee to watch his back, both of whom are infinitely more trustworthy than Corny could ever be even if you take the Lawler/Dundee feuds into account.

 

I think Bobby Eaton originally wanted to leave WCW with Corny and Stan, but his family needed the money he was making, so they told him that he needed to stay for their sake. It would have been interesting to see the MX in Memphis, which they'd never been before in any combination led by Cornette.

Man, now I am torn between wanting to see the Fabs and MX in Memphis. Can I get both, with some kind of 3 man stable thing instead? Anyway, good to see Corny in Memphis.
