Loss
Talk about it here.
Loss
Dusty talks about how proud he is of Dustin. Dustin is still doing the same voice as Dusty. Blood is thicker than water, baby. Dusty is doing the best promos of his WWF run just as he's about to leave.
PeteF3
This is a lot of TV time for the Rhodeses considering the Rumble was a one-off appearance for them after their contracts expired. The bond between a fathah and thun is STRONG, and the bond between DiBiase and Virgil is PAPER THIN, BABY.
Kevin Ridge
Dusty is a proud daddy next to his son Dustin. Younger Rhodes talking like his dad. Dusty says the bond between Virgil and DiBiase is paper thin. Good promo.
soup23
I also am surprised at the amount of time given to the Rhodes. Dustin on WWF in 1990 still looks strange. Dusty is much more comfortable in doing what he is doing now than the polka dot nonsense.
garretta
Even WWF fans can respond to honest heartfelt emotion if it's conveyed properly, and no one can do it better than Dusty. I wish they would have let Dustin speak in his natural voice, but I guess we can't have everything. He shows off his own gift of gab, and while he isn't in his dad's class as a promo (good luck finding someone who is on a consistent basis), he's got more than enough juice on the mic to leave his own mark in the business. I liked the subtle foreshadowing of Virgil's turn in Dusty's comment about the bond between him and Teddy being "paper thin". They're really handling this match and these angles in a more mature fashion than you'd expect for this time frame.
dawho5
I've signed on with the idea of Eddie Gilbert as promo of the year, but if Dusty had been doing this all year it would have been a much tougher call.
