Tim Evans Posted January 3, 2013 Report Posted January 3, 2013 Paul E interviews Rip about his match vs Pillman. Actually, Paul does most of the talking. Rip says "Marathon man" 5 times in about a minute. Quote
Loss Posted January 20, 2013 Author Report Posted January 20, 2013 Rogers wants Pillman in a match where falls don't count in the first five minutes because it better suits his training regimen. Quote
shoe Posted January 29, 2013 Report Posted January 29, 2013 A nice little set up for the match. Quote
soup23 Posted February 13, 2013 Report Posted February 13, 2013 Between the hindu spots stuff in SMW and this, Rogers really put over his conditioning. Quote
PeteF3 Posted February 13, 2013 Report Posted February 13, 2013 Fuck a Tom Prichard, we needed BodyDonna Rip in 1996. Pillman may be able to beat Rip Rogers in a sprint, but with pinfalls not counting in the first 5 minutes he's entering Rogers' world. Quote
Kevin Ridge Posted March 1, 2013 Report Posted March 1, 2013 Paul Heyman mentions there will be no pinfall attempts in the first five minutes. Rogers talks about being the marathon man and there will be no quick fluke pinfall wins by Pillman. Quote
garretta Posted April 5, 2015 Report Posted April 5, 2015 This would have been a good gimmick if they'd stayed with it. Rogers could have done a challenge every once in a while for matches like these, which would have given the bookers a reason to put him in longer TV matches without making his opponents look weak because they can't beat him. Maybe throw in a few bigger guys to change things up once in a while. They could have gotten a few months out of it at least. I liked Paul wondering how Rogers drinks mineral water without lime, like it's the most unnatural thing a human being could ever do. Quote
