Recap of the Luger/Nikita angle from Wrestle War. This segues to a video of Nikita working out that looks straight out of 1985. This has Dusty Rhodes written all over it, but the noises start to get creepy.

Yeah it does have a 1985 vibe to it, but that's not a bad thing. We'll see how good of a worker Luger is if he's able to carry Nikita to good matches.

The reintroduction of nikita has been a lot better than I would have figured. Dusty definitely has his fingerprints on all of this.

The video was impressive, but didn't someone tell whoever shot this that the Soviet Union, at least as Nikita knew it, was dead by now? Of course, he could have been using the flag as a reminder of what he used to be, in which case it was a great piece of motivation/psychology.

 

Yes, Nikita's bigger than when we saw him working for Abrams against Uncle Ivan, but he'll need a lot more than extra bulk to go toe-to-toe with Luger, who's improved vastly since they last crossed paths as opponents four years ago.
