Loss Posted May 11, 2013 Author Report Posted May 11, 2013 This is scheduled to be Tom Pritchard vs Tony Falk in a non-title match, but Embry attacks Pritchard from behind before the match begins. Wrestlers should know by now to watch for Embry in the studio, considering the havoc he has wreaked this year. He ends with a DDT on the concrete floor, which is sold like death. The reason he's so upset? Pritchard commented on his girlfriend, and Embry insists that he stay out of his personal life. This after flaunting his personal life on television. Again, I love how in touch Memphis wrestling is with genuine things people hate about people, because this is a complaint people make about celebrities all the time. Quote
Kevin Ridge Posted June 12, 2013 Report Posted June 12, 2013 I thought that was Eddie Gilbert attacking Pritchard. Haven’t got used to this new look of Eric’s. Embry didn’t like Tom talking about his personal life. Only he can talk about it like he did on an earlier segment. Quote
PeteF3 Posted June 14, 2013 Report Posted June 14, 2013 I thought that was Eddie Gilbert attacking Pritchard. Haven’t got used to this new look of Eric’s. Ha--from the back the new-look Embry looks EXACTLY like Luscious Johnny V. Was Falk seriously going to wrestle in that chauffeur's outfit? Embry drops Prichard with a DDT in front of the announcer's desk and screams about Prichard messing with his personal life. Quote
soup23 Posted July 1, 2014 Report Posted July 1, 2014 I may take back what I said two posts ago because the way they inter-weaved the Pritchard feud with Embry's new love interest was done well here. I always love when they emphasize a big move done in the studio to put over an attack. Quote
garretta Posted October 30, 2015 Report Posted October 30, 2015 The best part is, Dr. Tom didn't insult CJ at all; he merely said that she could give Eric all the new looks she wanted, but that didn't change the fact that Dr. Tom was still the Southern champion. An attack like this over something so innocent proves that, new look or not, Embry's still a dangerous psychopath who will do anything he can to injure those who displease him. Too bad we won't be seeing a whole lot more of this feud, as Dr. Tom will soon be opening a practice on the other side of Tennessee for SMW. Interesting that Dr. Tom being rammed into the bell was sold by Dave and Corey as being every bit as dangerous as the DDT on the floor, if not more so. Then again, the bell in the Memphis studio sounds a lot heavier than those used by the WWF and WCW, so it probably would be more dangerous as a weapon if it were used in a real fight. Quote
dawho5 Posted February 14, 2018 Report Posted February 14, 2018 I liked Embry showing his true colors despite all of the new look/girlfriend stuff. Nice DDT on the studio floor too. Quote
