Taz with another strong promo, talking about a recent injury that he just had treated. Everyone has seen him plowing through everyone at 80%, so just imagine him now at 100%. He isn't worried about the temporary challenge of Rob Van Dam. Another great one.

Never had much use for Taz, but this was a hell of a promo -- really nice use of refrains.

Between Taz and Funk, this is the most I am invested in ECW right now. This was a great promo with him saying that he will run through the gate keeper, RVD on his path with Sabu.

More angry Taz who is believable enough to beat the crap out of you. He ain't sweating Van Dam as more focused on Sabu.

God, Taz just blows away Shane Douglas when it comes to the "self-righteous sticking-up-for-pure-wrestling guy who swears a lot" gimmick. The way he spits out "fake karate tae kwon do long-haired faggot" when describing RVD makes him sound like he really believes that about Van Dam, making the use of the slur effective instead of cheap and gratuitous (okay, maybe it's a little cheap). Then he lays into Sandman, Dreamer, and Terry Funk.

Is this the best promo Taz has ever cut? Everyone got torn through the coals here and I've never bought him as a badass more than I did here. No idea if the match with Sabu will be any good, but Taz has made of it a thing I'm actually interested in watching and I can't say I've ever really been bothered about watching him before (although I like Sabu).
