Hulk Hogan returns from wherever he has been while Bischoff fawns over his posing. The crowd is on Hogan's case in a major way chanting for Sting. Hogan calls out Sting, saying if he'll come out now, he'll treat him like yesterday's garbage. No Sting and Hogan gloats. The build to Starrcade is in full swing, and the announcers also make the point that Hogan avoided talking about Luger. Love the short-term/long-term thing they were doing in the title picture at this point.

Hogan back from his movie shoot. Hogan immediately calls out Sting! Camera focuses on the rafters but no Sting. Bischoff has the evil goatee to put himself over more as a bad guy.

This was a solid appearance to keep Hogan on everyone's mind and to build up his next two major feuds. Hogan really hasn't done a ton since February to be honest but things have been progressing nicely. Bischoff gloating over Hulk never gets old.

Slow build. Bischoff is sporting a goatee now, the Steve Austin influence maybe. WCW was so hot at this point they could allow themselves to not use Hogan all the time, they had confidence in building toward the big feud at the end of the year without rushing anything. But 7 months may be a tad bit long.

Compare and contrast what WCW is going for with Hogan & Bischoff, with what the WWF is going for with Shawn & Vince. Who do you think was more in tune with the audience? Hollywood does a good job of balancing his cocky, gloating persona with fear and paranoia as the crowd gets to him with their Sting chants. "Once a god, ALWAYS a god!" Great megalomaniacal line to close out with.
