Loss
Talk about it here.
Loss
Hogan and Rodman call out Lex Luger and The Giant again. This time, Hogan does most of the talking. They keep waiting for Luger and Giant and they don't show up and Rodman says let's get out of here. Finally, Luger and Giant are out. Rodman is about to eat a chokeslam until Hogan intervenes. But Rodman grabs the belt and hits Giant from behind. The crowd goes nuts! Then the NWO runs in and everyone puts the boots to Luger and Giant while the ring fills with garbage as both guys get NWO spraypainted on their backs. I love how Nash makes sure to hug Rodman so the audience knows he's taller.
Kevin Ridge
Luger and Giant took a while coming out after being called out earlier in the show. Belt shots are lethal to the Giant. He just goes out cold every time he got one in WCW. Rodman drops a couple elbows after which the crowd loves.
soup23
Hogan being the main talker is smart in this duo. I enjoyed Rodman jumping early at first on the chokeslam spot. When he hits him with the belt, the crowd goes apeshit. Rodmans elbows looked pretty stiff as well much to the crowds delight. The scene is pretty wild with full drinks just being pelted into the ring. Again we only get the big NWO group together to close out the show and this is really all should have been in the faction along with maybe one more minor member like Buff or Norton. WCW clearly won this night.
El-P
Insane heat, wild closing scene. WCW was printing money with stuff like this, and Rodman was a good investment, again one year before WWF got Tyson.
PeteF3
This crowd is almost completely out of control--it's a strong visual but it's clear by now that fans are throwing trash because it's what you're supposed to do at the end of a WCW main event, not because of heat per se. Still, Rodman was used perfectly--doing just enough to make him look like a legitimate threat without giving away too much. And the sight of Rodman being lifted by the Giant got a lot of play on talk shows the rest of the week.
