Loss
Talk about it here.
Loss
Oh God. Ahmed explains his heel turn. He says the fans didn't back him up because he's a black man, and neither did Vince. I hate this race baiting crap. So much the WWF did right during this time with Steve Austin and Bret Hart, but then there was everything else. This is followed by Crush introducing by the DOA, who surrounding the ring on their motorcycles and hit the ring to brawl with the NOD. Police hit the ring and yeah, I just hate the undertones of all of this too much to notice much else.
Zenjo
White Biker Gang (Faces) vs Black Street Gang (Heels). Great stuff!
Kevin Ridge
Johnson claims race as the reason he joined NOD. Not enough to explain why he would align with Faarooq after their previous issues. Johnson wants a shot for the title against Undertaker. D’Lo gets some speaking time. Crush brings out his own gang on bikes. Yep, this feud wasn’t good. A brawl ensues and Ahmed legit hurts his knee.
soup23
Ahmed is going to go out there and kick all the crowd's asses. His logic sounds a little shaky to me especially the part of the crew backing him up. Uh when? They were in a year long feud. DOA interrupts the proceedings and this is some pretty brutal stuff that could have been ok but is way too on the nose.
PeteF3
I did like Ahmed going back to the injury that cost him his title shot and calling out Undertaker for being a "slave" to Paul Bearer, but then he rants about how MLK got shot for being nice and Louis Farrakhan being alive because he doesn't play by the rules, and just...ugh. This stuff doesn't have the panache and the "realness" of when New Jack was saying similar stuff--the environment is wrong, and Ahmed comes off as a guy playing a role rather than a legitimately unhinged thug. D'Lo is starting to get more face time, which I approve of. We end with the sterling debut of the Disciples of Apocalypse. Security and police show up despite this not being particularly chaotic in the face of what we've seen with the Hart Foundation the past few weeks. Exposer
This is amazing. Ahmed says the fans & Vince were never behind to get a title shot because he's black. He then trashes MLK for being peaceful saying that's why he got killed. He says The Nation gets what they want by any means necessary. Faarooq, D-Lo, & Kama cut promos & at one point Ahmed interrupts & threatens to kill Vince if he looks at him cross eyed again. Incredible. Faarooq compares he & Ahmed to MLK & Malcolm X! Oh my God. Crush comes out with his biker gang, the debut of the Disciples of Apocalypse, & they get into a giant "gang war" with the Nation. This ruled. I might get sick of this eventually, but I'm not easily offended.
