Loss
Commercial for an Outsiders pin set! Last few minutes of DDP vs Hall. Savage interferes liberally. They botch some stuff, which shows how limited Page is in a regular TV match where he doesn't have the benefit of planning every single thing out. Savage runs in for the DQ just as DDP is about to make his comeback. I don't really like Hall and Savage as a team. They are too different, but maybe they wanted Hennig in the ring with someone familiar for his debut. Sting comes through the crowd and Hall and Savage stop in their tracks but then continue the attack. Sting finally makes his way through the crowd and comes to the ring. They shouldn't have teased Sting as the mystery partner. Curt Hennig is going to seem like a letdown after that, but maybe they were seriously overestimating Hennig's star power. Blah segment. Kevin Ridge
Sting tries to intimidate Savage by pointing the bat at him 20 rows up in the crowd. Savage actually has to think about it before dropping the elbow. Sting goes down the ring which cause Hall and Savage to back off.
soup23
Yeah I guess we can throw out the window of Page mis speaking because they clearly used Sting as a red herring that he would be the partner. End of the segment was cool but the actual action looked pretty rough.
El-P
If Sting would have been the mystery partner, this would be pretty damn good. In retrospect, it can only lead to disapointment. They were clearly overrating Hennig just because he was a former WWF guy, but he hasn't been wrestling since late 1993 so he's not exactly a hot topic anymore. PeteF3
Sort of a Nitro-by-numbers finish, and Sting kind of looked dumb surrounded by fans at the back of the lower bowl while Page was getting killed. Again, they compounded their mistake of teasing Sting by also blowing the Hennig reveal on Nitro. Not that I think it would have worked much better had they held him off, but it may have helped.
