Loss
Last few minutes. This crowd should go everywhere. They were briefly teasing dissension between Luger and Page at this time. The NWO hit the ring as soon as Luger makes the hot tag and the ring gets covered in trash. Ric Flair and The Giant make the save and the crowd pops HUGE for Nash and Giant going at it. Wow. I LOVE this Birmingham, Alabama crowd!
Kevin Ridge
That was a hot tag! NWO interference happened too quickly though once Luger got in. Too bad they couldn't given it more time.
soup23
Page was a great FIP around this time with his cutoff spots making it that much more rewarding when he finally tags Luger in. The crowd goes ape for the giant vs. Nash showdown and this show makes WCW feel really alive and kicking even without Hogan being featured. El-P
The match was nothing much, really basic Outsider stuff, but the insanely hot crowd just made the whole thing look that much better.
PeteF3
Without exaggerating, I think the hot tag to Luger may be the single loudest crowd pop in WCW history, at least to this point. Good Lord. Match is thrown out almost immediately afterward, but Flair and the Giant are out to prevent a long NWO beatdown, and we go off the air with the brawl in progress. Not a super-remarkable Nitro, but a darn good one made almost great by this legendary crowd.
