The hammer drops from King that Nevada has barred Tyson from fighting so he can't fight at Mania. However, he is confident that him and Vince can come up with a creative situation for Mike to appear in at Mania. King gives the people the hard sell to order the PPV.

Standard wrestling practise would've been to let on that there might be a Tyson/Austin match for the next month or so. They only teased for a week here. Don King then shills Wrestlemania with even more gusto than Scheme Gene shilling his beloved Hotline.

This is such an organic build and the perfect way to use Tyson to create interest in the WWF. I like that everyone knows there will be no Austin-Tyson, but that something is clearly going to happen. It's just a matter of what. Don King is great at selling us on Wrestlemania.

King is a natural fit for wrestling--too bad he was a big enough scumbag to make your average wrestling promoter look like a choirboy. Don reveals that the Nevada State Athletic Commission has ruled that Tyson's suspension applies to wrestling as well...which actually was not true, as the head of the Commission was a wrestling fan who didn't see this as any different from Tyson appearing on any other TV show. But it works for storyline purposes. There will be an Austin-Tyson confrontation, it just may or may not be in the capacity of a match.

Don King is a great promo. Nevada is barred Tyson from fighting at WM, but King assures the fans that something will be done to have Austin & Tyson collide at WM. Great segment.
