Jr informs us that Mania sold out in 90 seconds. DX comes out in Uncle Sam garb and HHH informs us via signage that he is standing at 8". Balloons fall from the roof. Michaels is still angling for a Austin vs. Tyson match and tries to start up a let them fight chant. Glass shatters and we get the first big staredown between Austin and HBK. Austin says he damn well can beat the crap out of Mike Tyson. Austin says winning the Rumble meant that Shawn's ass belongs now to Stone Cold. HBK is taking this seriously which is a nice touch from his usual antics. Austin makes sure to talk about taking the belt which is another nice touch. Both shirts get ripped and Austin leaves ranting at both members of D-X. Great opening segment to really kick start this feud.

[Loss]

DX is out dressed as a pair of Uncle Sams and is pushing for Austin vs Tyson. Austin is out and realizes what they are doing and points out that his sights are still set on Michaels. I like the nice attention to detail of DX immediately getting out of their silly outfits when Austin comes out so that Shawn doesn't look stupid as the top heel. This was a great segment.

Good segment, Austin/Michaels feels like a Wrestlemania main event should.

Really strong segment with two dynamic personalities going at each other, after being kept apart for months. DX are campaigning for Austin to fight Tyson at WM, but Austin quickly sets the record straight--whether it's at WrestleMania or not, he's still coming for Michaels and still coming to take his title. Finally DX have met their match in an opponent, both in-character and in real life.

Austin still on fire to start 1998. Both Shawn and Hunter try to not back down, but still end up looking afraid.
