Loss
Talk about it here.
soup23
We get the iconic Baddest Man on the Planet intro from Vince for Tyson. Tyson gets a lot of boos from Cleveland. They are still pushing the animosity between Tyson and Austin. Vince calls for respect and gets bood. DX music starts up and Shawn dressed up for this altercation. Shawn has some words for Tyson and looks to go head to head with him. Instead, he tears off Tyson's Raw shrit and we have the newest member of DX. Tyson of course gives some of the worst crotch chops in history.
Zenjo
Tyson of course gives some of the worst crotch chops in history. Yep. If anyone watches this Yearbook without doing their own DX crotch chops from time to time they should be ashamed of themselves.
Loss
This time DX is out to interrupt Mike Tyson. Vince heeling but not heeling by calling Tyson "unquestionably" the baddest man on the planet is great! DX would never disrespect people. Shawn calls Tyson BOY and makes a huge deal of it and then wants to fight Tyson! The crowd is electric. After teasing a fight, Shawn rips off Tyson's shirt to reveal a DX shirt underneath. There is nothing more 1998 wrestling than a t-shirt to show allegiance but I think this was the first time the WWF had gone that route. I actually loved this twist and thought it made perfect sense considering that Austin picked a fight with the guy early on. I wonder who in the truck DX paid off to play their music after the big swerve. HHH is getting a rub just from being around this stuff that's so far beyond anything he was even capable of capitalizing on at this point. PeteF3
It's a swerve, but man, if you're going to do it, do a SWERVE. Reports going in were all about how WM was going to be an attempt by Tyson to try to rehabilitate his image, and instead they go in the exact opposite direction. Just mindblowing stuff that made you want to see what was going to happen next, a time when the end of Raw was the worst time of the week because it was the longest possible time until the next show. Of course this ended as it was predicted to from the start, but at the time we had no idea how they were going to get there.
TravJ1979
In hindsight this build was tremendous. I didn't appreciate it enough as a guy just out of high school. Tremendously done.
