Taz is here to talk about injuring Shane Douglas's arm. Paul Heyman apparently tries to shut his mic off and Taz turns his attention to him for a minute and rants something or other about guys going to Atlanta or Vince. He talks about the "McMahon-Austin angle" while everything he is saying is a shoot. Taz overreacts to something Joey Styles said and Taz tells him he will slap the taste out of his mouth if he ever does it again. Styles says "What's with you, Taz?" as he's leaving and Taz comes back and shoves him down. This is terrible.

Here is a desperate plea to make taz like Austin that failed terribly. The stuff vs Shane wasn't even that bad but when it becomes a shoot with him threatening Joey, I checked out.

The wait for a Taz-Douglas match really sent Taz's character off the rails.

This is an okay-ish promo that gets completely derailed by a pathetic attempt to make this look like a shoot with Paul E. trying to get Taz's mic cut and Taz explaining that "this ain't like the McMahon-Austin angle." Oh, fuck off, all of you. Styles behaves a like a complete tool and really sort of asks for the treatment he's getting. Please don't ever make me watch Styles attempting to act, because nothing will kill a "shoot" vibe quicker.

He's Shooting~! In 1998, despite his stature I thought Taz was a legit badass. Knowing what we know now, Styles could have probably taken him. Way too shooty Mc-shoot for my tastes.
