Loss
Talk about it here.
Loss
As promised, Austin comes back and tries to get in once again. The security guy still won't let him in, so Austin beats him up before coming out to a gigantic pop. Vince is furious until Austin challenges Vince, Patterson and Brisco to a handicap street fight. Vince points out that they don't go to a street fight in suits. Vince says they'll get two out of three in the match, but they won't tell him which two before the match. Childs
This was the first time in a while they seemed to be treading water. Why would Vince think he could keep Austin out of the arena with a single guard? Why would he bother? And once Austin hit the ring, he didn't have much to say--just the usual catchphrases and shit talk about Vince's stooges. I understand that with television every week, they had to coast on Austin's heat at times. They had just been on such a roll that the coasting was noticeable. soup23
Man, that Austin pop was great. I didn't see this as coasting as we saw in the end of the night, Vince knew Austin would be too big for his britches and had a plan for him. Plus, the more Patterson and Brisco the better at this point.
PeteF3
In a matter of weeks, the WWF has gotten Patterson and Brisco legitimately over to a greater degree than any WCW main eventer.
TravJ1979
I appreciate this so much more as a grown adult. Subtle things that Vince and the Stooges do make this.
