Loss
Talk about it here.
Loss
The Giant calls Kevin Nash to come out and face him, with Brian Adams and Vincent in his corner. A "We Want Nash" chant starts and Nash comes to the ring, but not before calling all three of them Hogan's fluff boys. The numbers quickly overtake Nash until the rest of the Wolfpac - and Lex Luger - make the save. Fans see where this is going and start popping pretty loudly. Nash tosses Luger a Wolfpac shirt and Luger ponders it for a minute before finally putting it on. While this got over huge live, I think this was a big mistake. Luger was a WCW guy and now that the Wolfpac is a babyface group, absolutely nothing has changed except the t-shirt Luger wears. I don't like how casual Luger is about being in the ring with the NWO considering that he was the guy who led WCW against them while Sting was out. soup23
I agree with Loss that this is a cool moment that as a 12 year old, I dug but looking back on it now, it doesn't make a lot of long terms sense and further dilutes the issues. Savage and Luger are presumably ok after wanting to kill each other 3 months earlier.
Migs
This just drives home the point about how far afield WCW was getting. The announcers are still treating a defection to the nWo as a big deal, but the Wolfpac are basically just a baby face stable. A war within the nWo was a unique angle - a baby face stable against a heel one is less so.
PeteF3
Giant cuts a darn good promo where he gets to show off some of his comedic chops. Luger and Konnan make the save for Nash and this segment is hot, no question about that. The announcers don't really know how to sell this--Schiavone is excited but neutral, while Larry treats this like a betrayal. Crowd loves it, though. I think the big thing about this is that it re-inforces, as though the past year and a half hadn't made it pretty obvious, that WCW has been a secondary brand and is now a tertiary brand. They've made it clear that there's not much point in caring about anyone who's not either Ex-WWF or aligned with Ex-WWF.
TravJ1979
One of the better, "bad" segments. nWo Wolfpack continues to get less and less cooler.
