Loss Posted August 28, 2014 Author Report Posted August 28, 2014 Sable has to win her independence from Marc Mero in a match because this is wrestling. You can tell WWE is down on Mero, with Jim Ross saying from the booth that Sable has done more to draw attention to his career than anything he has ever done on his own ... and he has even been the Intercontinental Champion! That line is funny in 1998 but a kneeslapper in 2014! Mero showed up expecting Sable to have someone wrestling to defend her honor, but she insists on winning her freedom herself. Anyway, Mero lays down and says he's going to let Sable pin him, but he pulls a fast one on her, rolling her up to pin her. Oh no, Sable isn't free! She also has to leave the WWF forever! For-ever! FOREVER!
soup23 Posted September 12, 2014 Report Posted September 12, 2014 I loved this. Mero gives a heartfelt speech and then lays down for Sable to pin him. Of course he reverses that and Sable is gone from the WWF to a big pop from the crowd before the ramifications sink in. (DUD)
Zenjo Posted September 14, 2014 Report Posted September 14, 2014 Could Mero have been any more of a douchebag here? This was great stuff.
Superstar Sleeze Posted May 15, 2016 Report Posted May 15, 2016 Excellent segment. Mero is such a slime ball
PeteF3 Posted June 3, 2016 Report Posted June 3, 2016 "You know King, some people say Mero looks like Little Richard...I never thought that." Once again Mero shows himself to be utterly without shame, and it's glorious to watch. He suckers Sable into a phony pinfall and then reverses it into a pin himself, and then jumps up and celebrates like he won the Royal Rumble.
TravJ1979 Posted September 6, 2016 Report Posted September 6, 2016 Sable's ridiculous implants are distracting and make it hard for me to feel sympathetic towards her. Something tells me she'll be okay.
