Loss Posted August 30, 2014 Author Report Posted August 30, 2014 Lawler has sent in a taped promo that Randy Hales hasn't had the chance to watch yet. Lawler apologizes to fans for not getting the job done against Kane. Lawler is ashamed of what he had to do, and said for now he'll stick to announcing in the WWF. Lawler wishes Hales all the luck in the world. Back at the studio, Hales is surprised but says things change. I'm interested in where this is going.
soup23 Posted September 21, 2014 Report Posted September 21, 2014 A very somber Lawler says that he couldn't get the job done and is now going back to announcing at WWF Hales is surprised as everyone else is.
PeteF3 Posted June 21, 2016 Report Posted June 21, 2016 Intrigue! Yes, this is definitely of interest, since Memphis has never really run with the idea of Lawler possibly not having it anymore--and that was when he was struggling with the Dragon Master and Leatherface, as opposed to legitimate monsters like Kane. Hopefully this gets the bad taste out of the ripoff angle the previous week out of our mouths and this Hales-Lawler program can go in a different direction than Lawler vs. Evil Authority Figure.
TravJ1979 Posted September 19, 2016 Report Posted September 19, 2016 Liked the angle and the promo, but, and this may not be politically correct, Randy Hales looks like a retarded kid and that takes me out of all interest in him as anything beyond an announcer.
ajtroma Posted January 16, 2017 Report Posted January 16, 2017 Sadly, that was the consensus on Hales. I'm not kidding. In the 80s, everyone who watched thought Hales was mentally retarded. The promotion looked very progressive in the people's eyes for hiring him.
