One of the sad truths for fans of good wrestling is that we live in a world where this match briefly set a rating as the most watched match in the history of cable television, and in fact is still in the top five. Patterson and Brisco make their entrance to "Real American" and this has tons of heat. This is actually really fun since Gerald Brisco is the man and Pat Patterson can still sorta do stuff in the ring. They win with a figure four-Boston crab combo! Patterson takes off his shirt to pose after the match, giving Jim Ross the chance to deliver the awesome line, "And fellas, he's single!"

This is AWESOME. Loved it. That this is one of the top 5 most rated wrestling segments ever is just fine with me. The ambush, Brisco briefly fighting back before getting dominated and then Pat's comeback and the victory were all wonderfully done. Insanely fun segment and honestly damn well worked as a match for what they're doing. Brisco knocking both of the Posse down with punches and shortly after trying to fight back with a fireman's carry were great moments. Most match is awesome too. This ruled.

This ruled so much. I remember it like it was yesterday. The pop Patterson/Brisco got after winning is one of the biggest pops I've heard at a live wrestling event. Brisco didn't look half bad and Patterson was entertaining.

This was pretty great from the entrances to Patterson/Brisco hamming it up. Brisco was still pretty lively and turns in a spirited effort that culminates in a big pop when he gets the win. Patterson tearing off his shirt allows Ross to get in some good lines. *1/2

Better and more heated than Robinson vs. George the night before, though Robinson was way better than either of the Posse. Yet another example of the type of thing that the WWF just does better than WCW. The stakes seem higher, the stipulations are better laid-out, the personal grudge even for two comedy duos seems real and believable, and there's actual build and psychology involved in the match.
