Loss
This crowd is hyped for Eddy. I think this and the Juventud match are roughly on par in terms of just the in-ring action, but this gets the crowd way more pumped up, and it's easy to see the difference heat makes when watching them side-by-side. Eddy wisely went with what the crowd wanted and they wrestled as more of a babyface. Since he was just being thrown out in showcase matches to establish that he was back, he kind of just turned himself babyface during this time, which is impressive. I'm always really impressed at how well Psicosis grasped the American style and how he could switch roles on a dime as the moment called for it. Eddy does a fake-out when Psicosis attempts a high cross body which looks awesome to set him up for a frog splash and win. This is the good kind of TV wrestling! tim
Awesome match that really gets to feeling like a pretty big contest for a B-show TV match. Eddy is really fantastic here. Psicosis is good too and really does a good job selling some knee work. Another WCW match probably better than the best WWF match of the year. Tim Evans
Nice to see Tenay keep the continuity about the LWO demise. Another good WCW tv match. Eddy seemed to be motivated by the cheers and Psicosis was a good foil for him. That frogplash looked painful.
soup23
Good tv match given time to develop and showing what these two can do. Eddie is able to win over the crowd and play up to that role a bit without being too over the top and slap happy babyface. His leg work was good and Psicosis sold it like a champ. Finish was brutal and it was refreshing to not see Larry shit all over the cruiser weights for once. A hidden tv gem from 1999. ***
PeteF3
About on par with the Nitro match but with a better crowd. Eddie hasn't missed a beat.
