Exposer Posted April 6, 2015 Report Posted April 6, 2015 Will mentioned something about a weekly WWE thread and I'm taking charge and starting one. I think this is manageable and will keep from being a huge thread. This is for discussion of WWE weekly programming both on TV and the Network for the upcoming week. So Raw, SD, Main Event (if you catch it somehow), Superstars, and NXT can be talked about here. We could get into discussion about NXT being in this thread, but I'll leave that up to everyone else. KrisZ Posted April 6, 2015 Report Posted April 6, 2015 Good work Devon Curious to see how Reigns is portrayed tonight Quote
Bierschwale Posted April 6, 2015 Report Posted April 6, 2015 How much will people overrate whatever promo that Heyman gives tonight? This feels like the right night for a huge gulf. Quote
Steenalized Posted April 6, 2015 Report Posted April 6, 2015 Looking forward to a non-post-Wrestlemania crowd tonight Quote
Exposer Posted April 7, 2015 Author Report Posted April 7, 2015 I'm going to pay close attention to the crowd tonight based off of Matt's thread on the two different fan bases. Quote
KrisZ Posted April 7, 2015 Report Posted April 7, 2015 They are in Austin, Texas which is usually a hot crowd Quote
goodhelmet Posted April 7, 2015 Report Posted April 7, 2015 I am getting NWO Black & White vibes early on from these guys being in the ring. Quote
Exposer Posted April 7, 2015 Author Report Posted April 7, 2015 This has been the typical opening segment over the last several months. It's boring as hell. Quote
Steenalized Posted April 7, 2015 Report Posted April 7, 2015 I did stop watching for a few years there in the late 00s, but it's been more than several months of starting shows like this. Somewhere in the company's bylaws is a clause saying every Raw must start with 20 minutes of talking. Quote
Strummer Posted April 7, 2015 Report Posted April 7, 2015 The Authority on vacation again. They sure get a lot of sweet time off. Had Thanksgiving/Christmas now Easter/Passover Quote
Exposer Posted April 7, 2015 Author Report Posted April 7, 2015 I meant specifically with Rollins. 20 minute talking segments have been the norm since I started watching. This triple threat match with each guys wrestling a match before is kind of silly. It's also weird that three baby faces are in the number one contender's match. Quote
Exposer Posted April 7, 2015 Author Report Posted April 7, 2015 I'm curious about Ryback-Harper. Harper's had a good match with everyone this year. Ryback's also been really good this year at least in tags and that one Rusev match. Quote
Strummer Posted April 7, 2015 Report Posted April 7, 2015 Oh God they are turning Kane babyface. This company Quote
Steenalized Posted April 7, 2015 Report Posted April 7, 2015 Good, we get to update the chronology of Kane turns now. Quote
goodhelmet Posted April 7, 2015 Report Posted April 7, 2015 I don't get the idea of having Neville facing Rollins in his second match. If it is for the title, Neviille can't win. If he loses, he loses in his second match and we know how the crowd gets behind losers. Quote
goodhelmet Posted April 7, 2015 Report Posted April 7, 2015 Maybe he wins by losing in a great match? Quote
hammerva Posted April 7, 2015 Report Posted April 7, 2015 Why is Brad Maddox on RAW tonight? was this explained on Smackdown So JBL had surgery on "torn abdominal wall" and came back to work a week later Yeah I am sure Quote
KrisZ Posted April 7, 2015 Report Posted April 7, 2015 They are in the UK next week why not build to a Rollins/Neville title match Quote
goodhelmet Posted April 7, 2015 Report Posted April 7, 2015 Good idea... and have him lose in his "hometown" which they were probably planning on doing anyway. Quote
KrisZ Posted April 7, 2015 Report Posted April 7, 2015 No way they should've jobbed Neville his 2nd week in The NXT stigma continues Quote
goodhelmet Posted April 7, 2015 Report Posted April 7, 2015 He'll be the best looking jobber of the NXT bunch because he looked good and the announce team didn't bury him outright. Quote
Exposer Posted April 7, 2015 Author Report Posted April 7, 2015 The match was alright, but the worst part about that was the post-match curb stomp. Also, the Austin crowd seems pretty pedestrian tonight. Orton's probably had the biggest pop. Quote
