JerryvonKramer
Andersons probably gonna make an example out of that chump. Seems like a good angle to get Bruno out of retirement. For ICW though. Bruno is only ever coming back to WWF
Matt D
David is in ICW. Considering what he would do in the middle of the decade, wouldnt that interest him?
JerryvonKramer
I'm going to get Dominic to tell him David is taking drugs and steroids.
goc
More reason for Bruno to go down to ICW to keep an eye on him.
goc
Can't find any evidence that Wendell Cooley was wrestling yet...damn
Flyin' Brian
I don't need Bruno, and David doesn't either.
KrisZ
The earliest I have is February 1984
goc
KrisZ are you aware who the future Southwest Mummy is? I may want to re-do that angle. EDIT: Blown away by my PM answer to that question. That's rough.

goc
These 84 Southwest episodes are rough. But Arandu is on one of them, can I draft Mexican wrestlers who had like 1 match in Southwest?
KrisZ
Off of one match no
goc
*desperately searches for 2nd* I need Arandu so when we get to 1988 I can bring in Arandu's valet from that Guerrero Negro hair match on the 80s set into Southwest for a real hot angle with Sunshine. By then I might have run out of stuff for her to do.
goc
I tried to watch some Maoris stuff from that time period to sell myself on taking those guys. Couldn't do it. Not Fabs opponents.
Flyin' Brian
http://theneckmagazine.tripod.com/Mummies.htm This says it was Bobby Duncum
goc
I guess we weren't supposed to say his name in here? I was given that name by PM and was quite shocked. Bad way to end a career. I thought that would have been a more obscure question.
goc
OK this Maoris match is ass backwards. They have wrestling boots on and their white meat babyface jobber opponent is wrestling barefoot. All 4 of these men are eligible and undrafted. Not on my list though.
Flyin' Brian
Sorry didnt see the edit. Found it with a quick google search though

goc
I just watched a piece of a Southwest episode from I guess sometime in 1982 that has a non bleached blonde Buddy Landell, looking as jacked as I have ever seen him, as a babyface doing a squash match and then cutting a bland promo about Jack Brisco teaching him the figure four and all the great wrestlers who he is traveling around with and learning from. I can't make Southwest any weirder than that.
goc
If anyone needs a proxy tonight I will be around another 6 hours or so. One of the most interesting things about this is looking to see how the "tiers" of wrestling promotions and talents worked. Like a guy who left Florida was likely to go from there to Georgia or JCP maybe but a guy leaving Southwest was likely to go to say Memphis or Portland or Vancouver. Guys who worked the smaller promotions tended to stay on a loop of smaller promotions.
goc
Samu is an incredible steal in the 14th round. You just have to find him a tag partner or figure out how to use him as a singles.
goc
Also, I just watched a match with one of the few remaining Samoans on the board against Grenade Boyer from a random Southwest episode. Boyer was perhaps the most awkward moving wrestler I have ever seen.
LowBlowPodcast
Looks like Tonga Kid will be without any Samoan help in JCP. Can he rise to the greatness that was bestowed on him or will he flounder under the pressure?
goc
There are some out there still to team him with but they are certainly on the low tier of the Samoan wrestlers.
Dylan Waco
Samu was gonna be my next pick. So now I have to take a guy I was trying to leave open to his home promotion. Oh well.
