WCCW Saturday Night Wrestling

August 13th, 1983 (Taped August 5th in Dallas, TX)

The show opened with Marc Lowrance in a TV studio set-up, explaining tonight would be a special episode of Saturday Night Wrestling, focusing on the big August 5th show in Dallas. He then threw it to the opener, after going over the lineup.

In the opener, The Bodacious Blondes defeated Mike Miller & Gran Markus II when Timbs pinned Miller in 10:13 after Timbs hit a low blow and cradled Miller while Riddle and Markus brawled on the outside. About five minute of the match was shown on TV.

After the match, Timbs & Riddle had a promo, making fun of the face team, challenging any team in the nation, and then saying they'd take on Bobby Duncum and 'and idiot' anywhere and anytime, unless of course, they were facing real competition

Next up, Korstia Korchenko pinned Bugsy McGraw with the Russian Hammer in 6:10. Bugsy tried to get some damage in on Bugsy and even slowed Korstia some, and even got him to back off for a moment or two, but in the end, Korstia was just too much for McGraw. After the match, Korstia continued to attack McGraw until he was left laying in the ring.

In the studio, Marc Lowrance announced that despite the despicable attack by Korstia, Bugsy McGraw will be back in action as soon as possible and in fact, he has challenged Korstia for a rematch.

After that, Bad News Allen Coage pinned Bobby Duncum in 12:33 with the Ghetto Blaster after Coage hit Duncum with a modified Hotshot on an exposed turnbuckle. About eight minutes of the match was shown on TV.

Lowrance: I'd like to welcome at this time, a very controversial man here in World Class Championship Wrestling, but a very accomplished competitor as well. He'll be part of the Texas Title tournament – 'Bad News' Allen Coage!

Coage: He just couldn't do it, Lowrance. He just couldn't let it lie.

Lowrance: Pardon, Mr. Coage? Who are you talking about?

Coage: You know who I'm talking about, Marc. Your bossman. The capo of the Von Erich crime family – ole' big Friz himself.

Lowrance: I'm still not clear about what you're talking about, Mr. Coage. I understand you don't like the Von Erich family -

Coage: - I don't hate the Von Erich family, Marc. I'm sure Fritz's wife is perfectly fine. I'm sure Kerry's girlfriend of week is a sweet girl. I just don't like corruption, and this entire state is full of it! Even with this Texas title tournament. You know why, Marc Lowrance?

Lowrance: I'm sure you'll tell me here in just a moment, Mr. Coage.

Coage: Don't get cute, Marc. Ya' see, ole' Daddy Fritz just couldn't let one title alone. No, no, no, no. Can't let there be any chance of one of his boys not holding one of the big belts in the company. Even though he already holds a title, let's throw Kevin in there, to make sure a nice all-American Texas boy is holding the gold, right?

Lowrance: I don't understand -

Coage: I'm not talking to you, Marc Lowrance. Ya' see, ole' Fritz couldn't even give the soft headed idiots you cheer a chance, either. Al Perez is a young wrestler, who might make it some day if he toughens up. But, Fritz couldn't risk it. Even Iceman Parsons, the dancing little Amos & Andy shufflin' fool he is, can't depend on him. You've got to throw the golden boy in there, to monopolize all the title opportunities and as a result, all the top spots in this promotion, Marc Lowrance. Well, unfortunately for these redneck fans, the entire corrupt Von Erich family, and hell, even the NWA, the 'Ultimate Warrior' of professional wrestling will not be denied and that's why, in just a few weeks, in front of God in the hellhole that is Fort Worth, Texas, I will become the next Texas champion and you'll just have to deal with it!

Following that, Norvell Austin & Al Perez defeated 'Killer' Tim Brooks & Ciclon Negro when Perez pinned Negro with a running bulldog in 13:51. The final six minutes of the match was shown on TV.

Following that match, Austin & Perez had an interview with Lowrance where they thanked the fans for the support, went over their feud with Brooks, Negro, and Mongol in recent weeks, but also made clear the fact they'd face anybody in World Class, whether it was the Bodacious Blondes, Devastation Inc., or even anybody out in the larger wrestling world.

Before the semi-main, there was a video highlight package for Sivi Afi, focusing on his feud with Brooks & The Mongol and his success in World Class since his debut.

In the semi-main event, Sivi Afi defeated The Mongol by DQ in 14:34 when Arman Hussain made his return to World Class, attacking Sivi Afi, then helping The Mongol beatdown the Samoan wrestler, until Austin & Perez made the save! Eight minutes of the match was shown on TV.

Arman Hussain then had an interview with Lowrance, flanked by Mongol & Brooks, explaining that only a top class mind as himself could control two beasts such as Mongol and Brooks from 'his various estates in Mecca, Tehran, Paris, and Mexico City', and that now he was back in Texas, only more chaos would happen.

Before the main event, in a 'paid advertisement', there was a static shot of the Confederate flag and a chyron staying 'Charlotte, NC', than who was back on the screen than The Freebirds!. Hayes and Buddy, with no Gordy is sight, cut a heated promo on Brody & Kerry, saying that they'd left for better pastures, that Dallas was a 'podunk town full of counterfeit cowboys' and that 'the women in good ole' Carolina are all natural compared to the Dallas, the new Silicon Valley!' Both men then promised to take the tag titles back to Mid-Atlantic, and 'maybe we'll hand them over to our good new friend Ric Flair, or even just toss 'em into the bottom of the ocean, where they belong!'

Finally, in the main event, the World Six-Man Tag Team Champions Tito Santana & The Von Erich's (Kerry & Kevin) fought

Devastation Inc. (Studd, Kamala, Kabuki) to a DDQ in 20:07 when the match fell into chaos and a DDQ was called. Twelve minutes of the main event was shown on TV.

To end this special episode of Saturday Night Wrestling, Lowrance interviewed The Von Erich's and Santana, who challenged Devastation Inc. to a rematch for the August 19th Dallas show, only this time, there would be no DQ's, no CO's, and it would be under Texas Tornado rules!

Ken Timbs pinned Mike Miler in 4:03 after a single arm DDT, after largely dominating the match. Timbs then cut a promo on Duncum, continuing to called him an old washed up cowboy, who should've been shot dead by Billy the Kid or Butch & Sundance.

Norvell Austin, Sivi Afi, & Tito Santana defeated Rock Riddle, Ciclon Negro, & Killer Tim Brooks when Afi pinned Riddle after a falling headbutt in 3:43. After the match, Negro & Brooks pushed Riddle away for losing the match.

Fritz Von Erich's interview from SNW was replayed, along with a hype video about the four non-WCCW competitors.

Kerry Von Erich defeated The Mongol with The Von Erich Claw in 6:13, despite The Mongol attacking Von Erich from behind and dominating the beginning of the match.

WCCW Saturday Night Wrestling

August 20th, 1983 (Taped August 15th, 1983)

This edition of Saturday Night Wrestling opened up with Marc Lowrance interviewing Devastation Inc. Akbar eagerly agreed to the Texas Tornado Six-Man match in Dallas on August 19th, then said that tonight, Kerry & Brody would feel the full force of Devastation Inc.

In the opening match of the Texas Title tourney, Bad News Allen Coage pinned Bobby Fulton in 8:13 after the Ghetto Blaster. The young high flyer did his best to make Coage uncomfortable with the pace of the match, the Olympic medalist ably fought off Fulton and took him out. After the match, Coage refused an interview with Lowrance, simply yelling into the camera, “ONE DOWN, FRITZ!” before leaving the ringside area. A flustered Lowrance threw it to a video package for Tito Santana.

Before the next match, Lowrance had an interview with Iceman Parsons, who got a warm welcome from the World Class crowd, before he had an interview about thanking the World Class fans for remembering him, and that tonight, he'd get one match closer to becoming the new Texas champ by KO'ing Big John Studd, 'like the overgrown crybaby he is!'

In the next match of the opening round of the Texas title tourney, Al Perez pinned Butcher Vachon in 7:12 with a Oklahoma Roll after Vachon charged him in the corner. The veteran brawler dominated the earlier parts of the match, but Perez' technical know how confused Vachon and allowed him to get the victory.

Next up, Big John Studd managed to pin Iceman Parsons in 12:09 after Akbar nailed Parsons with an object at ringside, and the big monster powerslammed Parsons to the mat. The wildly popular former World Class star had the most impressive showing so far among the guests in the tourney, coming close to victory several times, as Akbar had to save Studd from losing by putting his foot on the ropes after a big backdrop by the Iceman.

There was another video promo from Hayes & Roberts, continuing to insult Texas, the World Class fans, Devastation Inc, Bruiser Brody, the Von Erichs, the World Class fans, while also talking up how wonderful Ric Flair, North Carolina, and the rest of the South was.

Before the next match in the tournament, Tito Santana gave a short promo with the TV title, promising to defend it as much as possible along with his other commitments, and also wishing Kevin well in the Texas title tournament. As he left, Lowrance asked him about Bad News Brown's comments the previous week, but Tito simply brushed him off as a jealous man who was upset that he simply wasn't good enough.

Next up, Kevin Von Erich advanced in the Texas title tournament by pinning Spike Huber with the Von Erich Claw in 5:59, largely dominating the match and even no-selling much of Huber's offense.

After the match, but before the big main event, Brody, Kevin, and Kerry had a long-ish interview segment, going over their match with Hayes & Roberts at the big Labor Day show, the Texas title tournament, Devastation Inc., and even challenging the World champ for the future. However, as all three men went to either leave or head for the ring, Devastation Inc. jumped them, and the main event was on!

The main event of Bruiser Brody & Kerry Von Erich and Kamala & The Great Kabuki lasted under a minute before the match was thrown out thanks to interference from Skandor Akbar, Kamala, Kevin Von Erich, and the rest of the roster. The show ended with Brody & Kamala brawling in the middle of the ring while the crowd went nuts.

Weekend of August 20th, 1983 (Taped August 12th, 1983)

Ken Timbs pinned Gran Markus II with the single arm DDT again, in 4:12. After the match though, Duncum ran in the ring, and went after Timbs, but the wily blonde managed to get away from the big cowboy.Duncum officially challenged Timbs for the Labor Day Star Wars show, saying he going to run Timbs back to the beauty shop, or wherever he got his pretty blonde hair!

Before the next match. Austin had a quick interview, saying that he'd hoped that they could get a big match in the next few weeks against a team from Devastation Inc., or even The Freebirds if they come back to Texas after getting their butt kicked back to North Carolina.

Norvell Austin pinned Ciclon Negro with the flying dropkick in 5:53, after a back 'n' forth battle between two impressive wrestlers. After the match, Brooks & Mongol came out with Hussain, but Tito & Afi quickly came out to stand beside Norvell.

Before the next match, a video package highlighting the Texas title tournament was played, focusing on the winners of the first round matches, and hyping the semi-final matches.

Tito Santana © defended the TV title, by defeating The Mongol in 8:25 with the Flying Forearm, despite Hussain trying to interfere multiple times in the match. After the match, there was almost a brawl again between the heels and babyfaces, but various referees, road agents, and jobbers stopped anything more from happening.

Sivi Afi & 'Killer' Tim Brooks fought to a DDQ in 5:39 when The Mongol, Norvell Austin, Arman Hussain, & Tito Santana all got involved in the match, and everything devolved into a total brawl to end the show.

WCCW Saturday Night Wrestling

August 27th, 1983 (Taped August 22nd, 1983)

This edition of Saturday Night Wrestling opened with Marc Lowrance opening the show, trying to lead into the first match of the evening, only for a jubilant Skandor Akbar and the rest of Devastation Inc., including Al Madril coming to the ringside area, with the Six-Man Tag titles. Lowrance attempted to explain the situation, but Akbar cut him off, stating that he was tired of 'Von Erich' propaganda. After belittling the crowd, Akbar then attacked the Von Erich's, Tito Santana, before pointing out tonight, they'd defeat the tag team champions and let the world see what paper champions Kerry & Brody were.

After that long interview, Saturday Night Wrestling properly started off with The Bodacious Blondes defeated Bobby Duncum & Mike Miller when Timbs pinned Miller after a double bulldog and single arm DDT by Timbs in 7:51. After the match, Timbs did a hip swivel over Miller's fallen body, but then ran away when Duncum entered the ring.

Before the commercials, Bad News Allen Coage interrupted Lowrance, before running off on a rant about the Von Erich's, and largely avoided talking about his opponent for the night, aside from stating that “he has a future, if he gets his head right and stops caring about these rednecks who probably thinks his Mama was illegal anyway.”

Coming back from commercial, Korstia Korchenko was about to face off against an unknown opponent, when Bugsy McGraw came in and began brawling with the Russian brute for a few minutes, until World Class officials and various lower card wrestlers kept them apart.

The Freebird's had another video, from Charlotte, continuing to insult Texas, the Von Erich's, Devastation Inc., and talking up Ric Flair, the Mid-Atlantic territory, and of course, North Carolina BBQ.

Next up, Tito Santana © pinned Gran Markus II with a suplex to retain the TV title in 5:53. After the match. Tito had an interview with Lowrance. Santana said he was disappointed with the defeat in Dallas, especially when it was caused by a snake like Al Madril, but while Akbar may think he was some genius, the Von Erich's and himself weren't idiots either. In fact, after talking to Kerry & Kevin, they'd come to a mutual agreement that at Labor Day Star Wars, he was going to use his rematch clause with two new partners!

As the crowd cheered, this made Skandor Akbar to come rushing to the ringside area, all by himself, and begin shouting about how this was impossible, illegal, and immoral. Tito simply said for Akbar to look at the contract. After a moment, Akbar calmed down and say, “no matter. Whoever you have as partners, my men will crush them!' Tito simply shrugged, and then Norvell Austin & Al Perez came out to a large cheer from the crowd and stood beside Tito.

In the first semifinal match of the Texas title tournament, Bad News Allen Coage pinned Al Perez in 16:13 after the Ghetto Blaster. Shockingly, Coage largely fought Perez cleanly with only his inherent roughness, such as keeping hold on longer and attacking Perez in the corner, instead of blatant cheating. After the match, Coage didn't attack Perez, simply raising his fist to the booing World Class crowd, and making his way to the back, screaming, 'THAT'S TWO DOWN, FRITZ! YOUR BOY IS NEXT IF HE CAN PULL IT OFF!'

Before the main event, Brody & Kerry had an interview with Lowrance. Kerry gave Tito his live blessing about the Six-Man title match on Labor Day, and said that he was happy to soften up Studd & Kabuki before then. Brody said that he didn't care about Akbar, Hussain, or even the Freebirds. He was here to help the Von Erich's and cause some bloodshed!

In the main event, Bruiser Brody & Kerry Von Erich © defeated Big John Studd & The Great Kabuki when Kabuki spit mist into Brody's eyes to cause a DQ in 12:33. After the match, the rest of Devastation Inc. came out, only for Tito, Norvell, and Perez to rush out to make the save as the show closed.

Syndicated TV

Weekend of August 27th, 1983 (Taped August 12th, 1983)

To open the show, Tito Santana © pinned Rock Riddle with the Flying Forearm in 4:12. After the match, Tito called out Devastation Inc, and said that after Labor Day, he'd be a Six-Man Tag Champ, the TV Champ, and men like Akbar would be left laying.

Before the next match, Arman had a promo with Mongol & Brooks, saying that he wouldn't be happy until Afi had been driven out of World Class or he'd joined his family. The Mongol & Killer Tim Brooks defeated Sivi Afi & Gran Markus II in 5:59 when Brooks pinned Markus with a big boot while Arman kept Afi distracted on the outside. After the match, Afi tried to go after Arman, but his clients protected him.

There was a video package for Bad News Allen Coage, with his promos and dominating wins being highlighted, along with his vendetta for the Von Erich's.

Kevin Von Erich pinned Ciclon Negro in 3:07 with a big lariat, in a dominating performance. After the match, Kevin had a quick promo, saying that Bad News can talk all he want, but he'll have to prove it in the ring sooner than later.

The Great Kabuki pinned Norvell Austin in 8:43 after the Thrust Kick, after Akbar had hit Austin in the legs while he was going for a move of the top rope.

WCCW Saturday Night Wrestling

September 3rd, 1983 (Taped August 28th, 1983)

To begin the show, Lowrance went over the big four matches that would take place on today's show, and also hyped Labor Day Star Wars, happening in only two days, going over the lineup including Brody & Kerry defending the Tag titles, the Six-Man titles being defended, and a new Texas title being determined.

This was announced to be a huge show with four massive matches, but Korstia Korchenko and Bugsy McGraw never happened, as the evil Russian attacked McGraw from behind as he was coming to the ring, battering him with punches, kicks, and finishing it off with a Russian Hammer on the outside, before delivering a lashing with the heavy Russian chain, until World Class officials pulled Kochenko off the body of McGraw.

Coming back from commercial, Lowrance apologized to the fans for the previous match not taking place, but was happy to announce that Labor Day Star Wars, McGraw & Korstia would face for one more time! He then welcomed Kevin Von Erich to the show. Kevin then went after both Big John Studd, who he said was holding a stolen Six-Man title belt ; Al Madril, who he called a liar, cheat, and a SOB who'd be taken care of either by a Von Erich, Tito, or any other good man in the World Class locker room, and finally, he went after Bad News, saying that he was sick 'n' tired of Bad News attacking his family, this promotion, Texas, and his fans, and that at Labor Day Star Wars, he'd shut Bad News up once and for all!

In the next match, Norvell Austin, Al Perez, & Bobby Duncum defeated The Bodacious Blondes & Ciclon Negro when Duncum pinned Riddle with the lariat in 8:01. After the match, Timbs simply shrugged his shoulders and pointed to himself, implying that Duncum still had to pin him for it to count as a real victory.

Devastation Inc. (Kamala, Kabuki, Madril) defeated Kerry Von Erich, Tito Santana, and Bruiser Brody in 15:32 when Madril pinned Tito by nailing him with the TV title belt, while the other four men brawled on the outside. As you'd expect, things only got more heated after that, but eventually, World Class officials seperated all the men involved, including Norvell Austin & Al Perez, who came down to ringside.

There was a final video from the Freebird's, from North Carolina. Hayes & Roberts laughed about the misfortune the Von Erich's had faced with losing the Six-Man titles, and then said, “Kerry, get ready to lose another title!'

In the main event, and the other semifinal match of the Texas title tournament, Kevin Von Erich advanced to the finals, by defeating Big John Studd with a inside cradle when Studd & Akbar collided with each other in 16:31. After the match, as Von Erich celebrated, Bad News Allen Coage entered the ring, and drilled Kevin with a big Ghetto Blaster to end Saturday Night Wrestling.

Syndicated TV

Weekend of September 3rd (Taped August 26th)

To open the show, Tito Santana © pinned Gran Markus II to retain the TV title with a side suplex in 3:29. After that, highlights were shown of the Dallas Six-Man title change, then Tito cut an impassioned promo about how he was going to win back the Six-Man titles for the fans and the Von Erich's, along with two of the best wrestlers in the world.

Next up, Bugsy McGraw pinned Ciclon Negro in 4:13 with his standing splash. He then cut a promo on Korstia, promising that he wasn't much of a guy to slobber about the flag, but he was still an American, and it was his duty to take out Russian trash like Korstia!

Al Madril made Mike Miller submit to the Indian Deathlock in 4:59 after dominating the match, and continuing the beatdown after the match, before Tito Santana ran out to make the save!

Bruiser Brody pinned The Great Kabuki after the King Kong Knee Drop in 10:06.

Sivi Afi, Gran Markus II, and Mike Miller defeated The Mongol, 'Killer' Tim Brooks, and Ciclon Negro when Sivi Afi pinned Negro with a flying headbutt in 10:15

Ken Timbs pinned Bobby Duncum with a single arm DDT in 9:53 when Timbs dropped Duncum's neck on the top rope, hit a superkick, then the DDT and held the tights.

Korstia Korchenko pinned Bugsy McGraw in 8:01 with the Russian Hammer after a physical match where both men largely traded punches for the entire match. After the match, as McGraw struggled to get up, Korstia attacked him with the Russian Chain, leaving him bloody and beat in the center of the ring, once again.

Kamala, Big John Studd, and The Great Kabuki © successfully defended the WCCW World Six Man Tag Titles against Tito Santana, Norvell Austin, and Al Perez in 18:35 when Kamala pinned Norvell after a big splash when Norvell was distracted by Skandor Akbar and got attacked out the outside by Kabuki with the mist, then rolled back in the ring.

After the match, while the crowd booed, Al Madril called out Tito Santana, despite the fact he'd just wrestled. Tito was ready for a fight, but Madril, “to be kind,” said he only wanted a ten minute time limit and that if he couldn't beat Tito in ten minutes, he'd quit bothering the TV champ.

In an impromptu match, Tito Santana drew with Al Madril in 10:00. After the match, in which Madril largely stalled, Tito appealed to the crowd and Madril for five more minutes, but th newest member of Devastation Inc. simply waved him off, smiling the whole way.

In the finals of the Texas Title Tournament, Bad News Allen Coage won the Texas Title by defeating Kevin Von Erich in 23:47 with the Ghetto Blaster after a high impact, passionate match where it looked like both men were about to win for large portions of the battle.

In the main event, Bruiser Brody & Kerry Von Erich © defended the Texas Tag Titles by DQ over The Freebird's of Michael Hayes & Buddy Roberts in 26:01, when Roberts nailed Brody with a chair in full view of the ref. After the match, both teams continued to brawl, only for things to further break down when Devastation Inc. came down to attack both teams. That means they had to team up for a moment, before World Class officials broke things up.

Big catch up effort here. Glad you're sticking around, despite the fact I had the most to gain by you leaving. Really like the promo from Bad News on the episode from the 13th. Tito, Kevin & Kerry vs. Studd, Kamala & Kabuki sounds like a pretty awesome 6 man tag.

Some good matches in the first round of the Texas Title tournament on the 20th, good use of outside talent. Another big time 6 man tag main event too.

I liked Al Madril's debut and that you're using him as a heel. Just something very unlikable about Alberto Madril that makes him an awkward babyface.

Ken Timbs doing a hip swivel?? That's even worse than Jimmy Del Ray. Interesting stuff with Coage seemingly wanting to make a friend out of Al Perez.

Star Wars was a good big show with a main event that would have sold plenty of tickets. It's a shame Tito & Al Madril feud is already over. I'm sure Alberto will be a man of his word and leave Tito alone now. Bad News as the Texas champ is going to be interesting, I'm sure he'll enjoy rubbing it in Fritz's face.

WCCW Saturday Night Wrestling

September 17th, 1983 (Taped September 12th, 1983)

Marc Lowrance opened the show, going after the matches tonight, and also announcing the next big show for Thanksgiving, while also promoting the various house shows all around Texas, with big action including the Von Erich's in action, and Bad News Allen Coage defending his newly won Texas title. Lowrance than sent it to the ring for the opening contest of the evening.

In the opening match of Saturday Night Wrestling, Norvell Austin got the win over Rock Riddle in 7:19 with a big top rope dropkick. It looked like Ken Timbs was going to interfere to allow his tag partner to get the win by knocking Austin off the top rope but Al Perez chased the Fabulous Blonde from the ringside area.

After the match, Austin & Perez had a quick interview where they stated they were unhappy about the result on Labor Day, but they were moving on, and were open to challenging the Six Man Tag Champ's once again, with new partners or Tito once again.

Before the next match, Tito Santana had an interview with Marc Lowrance where he expressed his disappointment with how the Six-Man title match went on Labor Day, but he was sure somebody, whether it was Kerry, Kevin, Brody, or even the young bloods would knock Devastation Inc. down a peg.

In a defense of the TV title, Tito Santana © picked up the pinfall over 'Killer' Tim Brooks with the Flying Forearm in 6:19 in an short intense match where Santana shifted the momentum by managing to dive out of the way when Brooks charged him, making the big brawler run into his manager. After the match, Hussain browbeat his charge, pointing to a celebrating Santana, then bopping Brooks on the head, before bringing him to the back.

Coming back from commercial, there was a feature on the Von Erich's, focusing on their tough matches at Labor Day, and short promos with both men, challening Devastation Inc., the Freebirds, and Bad News Allen Coage to matches.

Lowrance: ...welcome folks, back to Saturday Night Wrestling, and at this time, it's my pleasure to welcome a man who is very controversial to the fans here in World Class, but you can't deny that he's a very talented wrestler – the new Texas Champion, 'Bad News' Allen Coage!

BOOO as the fans watching on TV see Coage, dressed like a cowboy with a shit eating grin on his face.

Lowrance: Mister Coage, these fans aren't very happy with the fact you have that Texas title belt -

Coage: - Marc Lowrane, folks around here haven't been happy about any person of my complextion having much success around here, unless they're under Massa Landry's whip.

MASSIVE BOO'S as the only thing more sacred than the Von Erich's are the Cowboy's.

Lowrance: Moderate and considerate as always, Mister Coage. So, after defeating Kevin Von Erich on Labor Day, what does the future hold for you in World Class?

Coage: Well, Marc Lowrance, I actually appreciate a decent question for once from you. Maybe Fritz ran out of questions for you to ask. Anyway, it's pretty simple. I'm aiming for diversity. Ya' see, for too long, these title belts have been strangled under the grip of the Von Erich crime family and their associates, such as those Confederate bastards who ran back to Carolina or that second rate ripoff of an actual oil tycoon who has his group of freaks. Ya' see Marc Lowrance, I don't hate any of the other wrestlers in the promotion. I may disagree with how they kiss up to these redneck idiotic fans -

BOO!

Coage: - I may disagree with how they support the Von Erich crime family to keep their own career on track, or I may even think they're idiotic for what they do in the ring, but men like Al Perez, The Mongol, or heck, even Uncle Tom's out there in the wider wrestling world like Iceman Parsons, come down to Texas. Get a title shot without kissing the behind of Friz Von Erich! Come one and all, and face the 'Ultimate Warrior' of this squared circle!

Lowrance: But, what about the Von Erich's? Don't they deserve another title shot after the close matches you've had with them?

Coage simply taps the Texas title belt.

Coage: I'm the champ, Lowrance. I control the contracts. I face who I choose to face, until the NWA says otherwise. Fritz, Kerry, Kevin, and even David wherever he is, can cry at the ranch into the mountain of money they've stolen from these teenage girls who are still wearing their training bra and teenage boys who still haven't grown their chin hair.

BOO!

Coage: Sorry girls, I like my women with some hips. Now Marc Lowrance, thank you for your time, but I'm getting tired of being around these fans.

Coage walks off, holding the Texas title aloft to the booing fans.

Coming out of the commercials, The Bodacious Blondes came back out, obviously very upset and challenged “those two losers,” Austin & Perez to a match to show they were just lucky tonight.

Next up, Big John Studd defeated Bobby Duncum in 9:13 by making him pass out in the Reverse Bearhug after a physical match between the two large men. But, Studd was able to avoid the lariat from Duncum, squash him in the corner with an avalanche, then get the win.

After the match, Lowrance interviewed Devastation Inc., including Al Madril. Madril explained that he was thankful toward Tito Santana for the chance on Labor Day, but darn it, the TV champ was just too good for him. Of course, this was said with as much sincerity as you'd expect. Akbar then ran down the 'stupid savage', Sivi Afi, before promising the World Class fans that tonight, they'd see a downfall of another hero, just like they saw the downfall of Kevin Von Erich to Bad News Allen on Labor Day. Lowrance attempted to ask Akbar about the end of the Star Wars show where the Freebirds, Brody, and Kevin Von Erich brawled with Devastation Inc., but the devious manager simply brushed him off, saying it was no matter to him.

In the main event, Alberto Madril gave Sivi Afi his first defeat in a singles match in World Class, pinning the Samoan star after a low blow and modified front suplex, while holding the tights in 12:09. Throughout most of the match, Afi had control of the match his brawling offense and tough Samoan tenacity, but Madril drilled Afi with the branding iron late in the match, then got the win.

After the match, Tito Santana ran out to attempt to talk the referee into restarting the match, but of course, he didn't. Santana then went over to Madril, poking him in the chest, but then newest charge of Skandor Akbar simply smiled, pointed to the referee, then walked away raising his arms in victory as Santana fumed in the ring.

To open the show, a video package set to 'Beat It' by Michael Jackson was shown of Labor Days Star Wars, ending with the big brawl that ended the main event.

Mike Miller pinned Ciclon Negro with a high vertical suplex in 8:33.

Highlights were shown of the Allen-Von Erich match at Labor Day Star Wars, including a remixed video of some of Allen's greatest verbal hits of the last couple months.

Bad News Allen Coage dominated Gran Markus II, before pinning him with the Ghetto Blaster in 6:03. After the match, Allen help up the Texas title, then spit on a fallen Gran Markus.

Before the main event, Al Perez had a promo where he stated that he knew tonight was going to be a tough challenge, but matches like this were the only way to rise up the ladder in professional wrestling.

In the main event, Al Perez fought ably, but Kamala is too large, too dangerous, and has too much of a conniving manager, as after distraction from Skandor Akbar allowed Kamala to gain the advantage and pin Perez after a big splash in 12:01.

It looked like Kamala was going to try to permanently injure Perez with a top rope splash at the end of the show, but Kerry Von Erich made the save, running off both men, and helping up the young star.

WCCW Saturday Night Wrestling

September 24th, 1983 (Taped September 19th, 1983)

After going over the matches tonight, Marc Lowrance opened up Saturday Night Wrestling with a promo by Tito Santana & Kevin Von Erich, who went over their main event match tonight, then said that they'd be open to fight any member of Devastation Inc. anytime and anywhere. Lowrance brought up Coage's promo from last week, and Kevin said that he'd lost to Coage in the middle of the ring, and that while he'd be open to facing Bad News again, he wasn't going to get roped into a title match against a scummy SOB like Coage while he was trying to take out Akbar & his charges.

We then had a highlight video of Bruiser Brody, set to 'Kashmir' by Led Zeppelin, focusing on Brody's various bloody brawls in World Class over the years.

In the opening match of the evening, Norvell Austin, Sivi Afi, & Al Perez got a big win over The Bodacious Blondes & 'Killer' Tim Brooks when Perez pinned Brooks with a top rope sunset flip in 10:01. After the match, the Blondes immediately went after the babyfaces, but they were already celebrating with the fans.

Arman Hussain then had an interview with his charge, 'Killer' Tim Brooks, who was largely ignored by Hussain. The successful businessman explained that while it was signed for tonight that Von Erich & Duncum would face Negro & Mongol, he was using a clause in the contract to bring his new charge, who would be announced tonight before the tag match.

Coming back from commercial, Norvell Austin & Al Perez were about to start an interview with Marc Lowrance when The Bodacious Blondes came out, and started to call out the babyface team for a match right now. Unfortunately for the Blondes, the babyfaces were ready, and as they headed toward the ring, the Blondes jumped them, starting a short brawl before World Class officials broke it up.

Bad News Allen Coage blitzed through Mike Miller in 5:13, pinning him with a simple 'Judo-style' (gutwrench) suplex. Coage then had a short promo after the victor, challenging Kevin to put up his American title once again, then insulting the Texan fans.

Before the match, with Kerry & Duncum waiting in the ring, Arman Hussain came out and annoounced his new acquisition...KORSTIA KORCHENKO!

Despite the surprise, Kerry Von Erich & Bobby Duncum got the win over Ciclon Negro & Korstia Korcheko in 9:19 when Von Erich pinned Negro with a flying bodypress. Throughout the match, Korchenko dominated when he was in the ring, even throwing around Von Erich a bit to massive boos from the crowd in Fort Worth. As Von Erich & Duncum left the ring, Hussain browbeat Negro for losing the match. Ciclon then pushed Arman back, which made Arman back off as if he was going to simply leave the ring. This made Ciclon be unguarded for a moment, which allowed Korstia to get behind him and...DROP NEGRO WITH THE RUSSIAN HAMMER! Arman then pulled Negro up, and Korstia brought out the chain, but Bobby Duncum ran out to make the save!

After various World Class officials made Korstia and his manager leave, Duncum explained that while he had no love for Negro, he was sick 'n' tired of 'that Russian hombre' running over people without any regard or honor, and “that while I'm rainbow 'n' puppies lovin' hippie, I still got a code, Lowrance. So, if Korchenko and his A-Rab manager want a fight, I'll be right here waitin' for them!”

In the main event, Tito Santana & Kevin Von Erich got a big win when they defeated Al Madril & Big John Studd when Von Erich pinned Studd with a rolling cradle in 14:09 as Studd was hoisting Von Erich up for another Reverse Bearhug while Santana & Madril brawled on the outside.

To open the show, the Blondes had an interview where they insulted Norvell Austin, Sivi Afi, Al Perez, and even the Von Erich's before telling Bill Mercer that he'd see what a real top class looks like in the ring right now!

The Bodacious Blondes defeated Mike Miller & Gran Markus II in 4:23 when Timbs pinned Markus after the single arm DDT. After the match, the Blondes stomped out the babyfaces for a moment more, before swiveling their hips in front of the booing crowd.

Tito Santana © ably defeated the TV title, defeating Norvell Austin in a clean scientific match in 9:58. Throughout the match, Norvell was slightly more aggressive than Tito, but both men shook hands after the match.

After the match, Tito had an interview where he thanked Norvell for the hard fought match, then challenged any member of Devastation Inc. for a straight up fight with no gold on the line – only for revenge!

There was an NWA Update, highlighting various highlights across the nation, focusing on Maple Leaf Wrestling, Mid-Atlantic, and of course, Southeastern.

Before the main event, Kerry Von Erich had an interview with Mercer, but only got through the beginning before Akbar came out and started arguing with Von Erich – allowing Kabuki to Pearl Habor Kerry to start the main event!

Kerry Von Erich pinned The Great Kabuki in 13:53 with an Oklahoma Roll after Von Erich ducked the dangerous mist of Akbar's Oriental warrior.
