Grimmas
http://placetobenation.com/pro-wrestling-super-show-54-rick-martel-running-with-the-goats/ Steven Graham and Tim Livingston are joined by Parv to look at Rick Martel against some of the Greatest of All-Time including: Nick Bockwinkel, Harley Race, Buddy Rose, Ric Flair, Stan Hansen and Terry Funk. Not only do we discuss the matches, but we talk about where Martel rates all-time. We compare him to Ricky Steamboat as well as the other greatest babyfaces in history! Also we break down the utterly bizarre racist Bill Clinton impersonator. Watch the matches for yourself and follow along at home here: Don’t forgot to donate money to the Toronto Zoo here. Magpie
Ah, great timing. I'm listening to Exile On Bad Street and Parv has just mentioned Martel as a potential WWF champion. Look forward to the above with much discussion on Martel. He and Steamboat, for me, are the two smoothest guys to ever step in the ring. Grimmas
Great show guys! I need to go watch more Martel now. The show flowed smoothly and I learned a ton. Thanks, Martel is one of the most under rated wrestlers ever. That playlist covering the matches we talked is a great start.
Danish Dynamite
Great show! Thanks! Always into Martel (including The Model run, sorry...). But you guys just inspired me to rewatch a ton of his stuff. And then I got stuck watching a lot of Portland. Cost me a couple of days that should've been spent writing, but so worth it. Thanks 😄👍
El McKell
Stephen said on this show that the WWE has been called WWE longer than it was ever called WWF. This can't be true it's been called WWE since '02 or '03 so that only like 12 or 13 years, but it was called WWF from about 1980 to 2002. So Parv was right to refuse to accept that

SomethingSavage
Great discussion on one of my all-time favorites, guys. Glad to hear the Funker match from Puerto Rico get so much love. It's practically universal praise, which is nice - since I almost always expect somebody to shit on Terry's over the top performance in that match. But it's just so damn enjoyable. I can't imagine why anyone wouldn't just free themselves & get caught up in the craziness of it all. I noticed you guys were scrambling to find out more about Martel's early days, initial training, etc. I know most people have heard it, but just in case anyone hasn't... I figured I'd post a link to Martel's RF Video shoot interview here. He goes in-depth on a lot of the earlier stuff, his breaking into the business, his Portland days, etc. Just a tremendous interview that truly shows what a class act the guy is in general. So yeah. Here it is: https://youtu.be/Io-Hrr1RQyY

Ricky Jackson
I did a Martel bio on Titans # 21 if you want to seek that out. I know I touched on a lot of his 70s work. I too really liked this show. Martel is awesome and deserves to get as much praise as possible
