Grimmas Posted November 7, 2015 Report Posted November 7, 2015 Kongo Kong is the best but I haven't seen enough from him this year. This is someone that I'm interested in checking out. Anything easily available, via YouTube or whatever, that you would recommend? Scenic City Invitational is a great showcase of him. Cheap two day great tournament available via vimeo.
NotJayTabb Posted November 8, 2015 Report Posted November 8, 2015 On the subject of Andy Dalton, there's an Inspire Pro full show on YouTube (the Quick and the Dead), where Dalton has a street fight which is really fun. He's fighting the kind of guy who thinks throwing multiple reverse ranas makes sense in a street fight, but Dalton is so good that the match is still really good.
pol Posted November 8, 2015 Report Posted November 8, 2015 I feel like Akebono's role, by its very nature, is one that requires a capable dance partner. That's not even really an indictment of him as a worker, since I think he has some great offense, times his cutoffs well and knows when and how much to sell. But the very nature of his act requires someone else to provide the dynamism that he lacks and to sell their ass off for him. It's just not a role that can carry a broomstick to a great match like the "babyface that sells and sells and then comes back" can be.

Anything easily available, via YouTube or whatever, that you would recommend? Look up him versus Danny Cannon from IWA Mid South; it should still be there and it's a fantastic match as well as the perfect showcase for what makes Kongo so special.
dkookypunk43 Posted November 8, 2015 Author Report Posted November 8, 2015 Damn it I forgot Sasha. Cena for me I had him in the top 20, he's going to have to step it up even more because of Seth's injury and probably enter even the top ten

Memphis Mark Posted November 24, 2015 Report Posted November 24, 2015 Dalton is a guy who I've seen live at least 15x and always is in the 2nd or best match on the show unless he's working an ROH dark match. Even then he gets over, and the crowd gets his character. He's one of ACH's best opponents. His size will never allow him to make it in WWE or NJPW. Hopefully , Dalton will get a spot in ROH's Top Prospect tourney. I appears that fellow Texans Keith Lee and Shane Taylor will be in their TPT after their showing in Nashville this weekend.

Lee is one heck of a promo.
