Resident Evil
Don't worry. It's not a spoiler but it is a MUST SEE. Man alive, I can't wait for the next Rocky movie. http://youtube.com/watch?v=eQzcbnjtPpE&sea...=Rocky%20Balboa
Guest Bruiser Chong
I've never been a huge Dusty Rhodes fan- although I did gain new respect for him through his promos on the Flair DVD- but I'm loving his stuff on his DVD set. The American Dream vignettes are fun to watch, just because Dusty's so energetic with everything. He makes cleaning up poop seem like it could be a fun job, for crying out loud. anarchistxx
The Dusty DVD Documentary was really overrated, and I found it boring from when they started talking about his WWF run. Which, incidentally, they spent far too long on.
Guest Bruiser Chong
I didn't care much for the doc, which was too short for such a storied career. I was expecting a lengthy program, but was surprised when I got through it in one shot. Skimming over his NWA/WCW run was the biggest crime, since that's where he arguably had the most impact. As for the WWF stuff, that was to be expected and since I love seeing any WWF footage I hadn't seen before, it was accepted with open arms. sek69
I'm still puzzled to why his WWF theme was edited off the Wrestlemania box set, yet not only is it intact on his own DVD they even had a bit with wrestlers singing the song. The Dusty DVD Documentary was really overrated, and I found it boring from when they started talking about his WWF run. Which, incidentally, they spent far too long on. I guess someone has to be "that guy". The documentaries are usually not the selling point of a WWE DVD. I can't think of one with the possible exception of the Bret DVD that I was looking forward to anything but the matches and extras.
Guest Bruiser Chong
Right on. Even though I've never disliked the main feature, I know that I won't be revisiting them with some exception.
Mad Dog
I was surprised that they actually let the wrestlers rip on the gimmick the WWF gave Dusty.
sek69
I think that was their wink-wink way of saying the whole thing was a rib in the first place.
Strummer
According to the latest Observer. Trish's contract is up in August and she's seriously considering not re-signing. She is getting married in September and she's taking an extended leave. I didn't point this out but I was thinking that they are slowly turning Torrie Wilson back into the top babyface woman. Candice has been buried since her Playboy shoot and Trish has gotten less and less attention since getting hurt. I think they are slowly phasing Trish out of the picture in anticipation of her leaving. BTW I think Trish is the first woman ever in wrestling to not end up marrying a worker. Edit: Here's the tease in Meltzer's preview: "What wrestler looks to be leaving WWE in a few months and why" Looks like she's gone. Wow I thought she had caught the wrestling bug but with all the mainstream exposure it looks like she wants to go Stacy's route and go into "legitimate" media. Guest Bruiser Chong
More power to her. She seems too good for pro wrestling.
Guest Primo Matarazzo
Trish has actually managed to avoid all wrestling stereotypes and pitfalls. She IS too good to keep wrestling. She's had her fun, she's getting married and I'd say it's time for the next phase of her life. Good luck to her. I can't recall a time in Trish's career where I didn't enjoy her and I there ain't too many wrestlers, male or female, I can say that about. Loss
Trish was a fitness model putting herself through medical school before taking an offer to become a pro wrestler. She also has a really awesome house, if I remember correctly when they did the tour of it on Confidential, that she designed herself. Trish rules! Guest Bruiser Chong
That was the piece that made geeks fall in love with her because of all the nerdy stuff she owned.
Strummer
I'm wondering if TNA will make an offer to her. There's already a ready made angle with Christian. My guess is she wouldn't be interested and they probably couldn't afford her anyway.
Marty
More power to Trish to move on, for a few reasons: 1. There's not much more she can accomplish, at least in the Women's Division. 2. She's probably set for life, or very close to it. 3. Leaving now will assure her of good health for her future. I doubt she's unhappy or anything, but, really, I don't know if there's much left for her, unless they turn her heel again, and go with one of Loss' old ideas of her sending heel after heel against the babyface champ. Guest Cam Chaos
Trish can return to modelling if she wants. She's increased her profile and can demand a higher wage as a result. She probably wants to start a family so being on the road definitely wouldn't be conducive to that as Flair and Dusty have shown what can result. She holds the record for the most Women's title reigns and even though she's never have a high six figure contract, she has likely made a pretty penny in merchandising and likeness rights. She's had her surgeries and bumps and bruises but has not really suffered superficially as a result of them. I can't really see anything else she can gain by staying signed to the WWE at all. I'm pretty sure if she did a workout video it would do strong sales.
Loss
I'm really surprised WWE hasn't made Trish a posterchild and tried to market her to women instead of to men. They could do fitness videos, as you mentioned, and repackage all that old ICOPRO that is probably still in a warehouse somewhere. A book deal would make sense also. They could even strike up some type of deal with Victoria's Secret for her to get her own line of lingerie or something, especially after her WOWZA appearance on RAW during the Kane/Lita wedding. And even if they wanted to just keep her as a strong wrestling character without the cross promotion, she really should have been involved in main event angles pretty regularly, as she was one of the strongest characters on the show for many years. Guest KingPK
She's a pretty huge star in Canada, isn't she? Hosting that Walk of Fame show and everything? She could just do fitness books and do the odd hosting gig. I can't belive they gave Chyna a fucking workout video and not Trish. She knows how to work and is a pretty strong female character....so you can see why WWE really doesn't have much for her to do anymore.

To be honest, I think a Trish work out video would sell at least 4 times the amount Joanie Laurer's did because I'm pretty sure most women would prefer to look like Trish than the chick that used to have a lantern jaw who dressed like a dominatrix and had delts the size of midgets even when she was over. Strummer
Just another note, this whole deal was why Trish did a quick clean job to Mickie James this past Monday. That did seem weird at the time
sek69
This would also mark pretty much the only time I can think of that a woman who was over left WWE on good terms without being erased from history as a result.
Guest Bruiser Chong
Did Dustin Rhodes try to mimic his father's voice in WCW? I was watching the Dusty DVD and was caught off guard when Dustin (during his initial WWF run) was doing his best Dusty Rhodes impression.
sek69
I think it was partly Dustin trying to sound like his dad and the fact that I noticed Dusty tends to tone down his accent when talking with/about his son.
Guest savagerulz
In a story reported by The Ironton Tribune today, Rob Van Dam and Sabu were stopped Sunday night by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and cited for drug possession. Troopers found RVD in possession of 18 grams of marijuana and five Vicodin, while Sabu was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and also had nine pills that were not immediately identifiable, but were known to be controlled substances. They were both cited and then posted bond. They are scheduled to appear at 10 a.m. Thursday in Ironton Municipal Court. No word on what, if any, punishment will be served up by WWE. Strummer
I like how on Raw, during the oral sex skit, the DX stripper went to kiss Candice on the lips, and she (Candice) turned her head so the kiss went on her cheek. Because you know when a hot chick just had an orgasm from another hot chick going down on her they like that little soft peck on the cheek. This company tries to go all the way but always wimps out.
