Cross Face Chicken Wing Posted June 1, 2016 Report Posted June 1, 2016 Another great show, gentlemen. Enjoy those old-school observers, Kris. Quote
Mad Dog Posted June 1, 2016 Report Posted June 1, 2016 Danny Spivey had the perfect hair to be Captain Planet. Quote
KrisZ Posted June 1, 2016 Author Report Posted June 1, 2016 We just missed talking about him on the show as he signed with WWF the week after Quote
PeteF3 Posted June 1, 2016 Report Posted June 1, 2016 It was definitely Ric Flair with that comment towards Cactus Jack about being in a wheelchair. He spells it out in Have a Nice Day. That Hansen/Misawa title change...Loss and Will didn't seem to think much of the match in full because they only put the finish on the '95 Yearbook. The closing stretch is pretty hot but the finish is really weak, somewhat in concept but mostly in execution. Quote

Mad Dog Posted June 2, 2016 Report Posted June 2, 2016 I haven't mentioned it in a long time. But you guys are the highlight of my week. I always go home after listening to the show and want to watch hours of wrestling. Quote
KrisZ Posted June 2, 2016 Author Report Posted June 2, 2016 Thanks everyone for listening.....I love reading stuff like that Quote
cheapshot Posted June 2, 2016 Report Posted June 2, 2016 We're fast approaching a year of Between The Sheets, and I just want to also thank Kriz and Bix for all the hard work they do bringing us this show every week without fail. Quote
Mad Dog Posted June 2, 2016 Report Posted June 2, 2016 Also if you and Bix need any help cutting up audio for the clip show just shoot me a PM. Quote
GSR Posted June 3, 2016 Report Posted June 3, 2016 Great stuff as always, but it was (to me) one of those occasions where the guest didn't really add much to the discussion. I always enjoy listening to stuff about Pillman and although BIx mentioned 'gravity boots', I was surprised there was no talk of Mark Coleman either as that always seemed to be a staple of whenever Dave would tell or write about that incident. Also, please never let Bix sing on a podcast again! Quote
BrianB Posted June 7, 2016 Report Posted June 7, 2016 This is definitely one of those pods that makes me go back and watch lots of old shows. Interesting Bix mentioned heel Nash in late 1995-1996 as arguably a top 3 promo. I'll have to go back and re-visit that WWF period at some point, as I haven't re-watched it in probably....15 years? Maybe I've just got heavy nostalgia but I enjoyed Savage and Flair's promos from the start Nitro era through most of 1996, which coincides with a lot of that heel Nash period. Here's one of the standouts: We're fast approaching a year of Between The Sheets, and I just want to also thank Kriz and Bix for all the hard work they do bringing us this show every week without fail. Definitely. They've also worked hard not to rest on their laurels and add things to the shows, the needle drop songs, audio clips, and sound effects being one of the most notable, which they've gotten better and better at incorporating.
