Bix Posted September 18, 2016 Report Posted September 18, 2016 An unexpurgated eBook version of Bret Hart's book. Easily. We got something like 30℅ of the original draft. Quote

shakla Posted September 19, 2016 Report Posted September 19, 2016 Thought there was talk of another Flair book with some emphasis on Charlotte. Quote
JRH Posted September 19, 2016 Report Posted September 19, 2016 I'm probably the only one who'd want it, but a sequel to HBK's book (not the religious one he put out a few years ago) would be interesting to read. The first book ends with the Rockers reunion, but the sequel could go into the God feud (i'd want to see what shawn's real feelings on it were), the dx reunion, flair's retirement match, the jericho feud, and the taker feud and subsequent retirement. Been a while since I've read the religious sequel (took a chance on it when it was a $2 Kindle Deal of the Day, which was and is unheard of for a wrestling book), but I believe it does go into some of those wrestling topics. I can't recall what exactly he talks about or how in-depth it was, but I do remember thinking the second book was actually more enjoyable than the first. Quote
...TG Posted September 20, 2016 Report Posted September 20, 2016 An unexpurgated eBook version of Bret Hart's book. Easily. We got something like 30℅ of the original draft. It will be like Mark Twain's autobiography, kept under seal for 100 years after Bret's death. Quote
overbooked Posted September 21, 2016 Report Posted September 21, 2016 As so many wrestling books are essentially straight, chronological biographies I'd like to see sequels that are more personal takes on what wrestling means to the wrestler. That could be a broader philosophy of wrestling, or how they approached working, what they think good booking looks like, where they see wrestling goes next. It would be good to get those wider perspectives. Quote

flyonthewall2983 Posted September 24, 2016 Report Posted September 24, 2016 Regarding Bret's book, hasn't he talked about updating it? It was published after his reconciliation with Vince, but before his with Shawn Michaels. Towards the very end he has some pretty harsh words for him and Triple H. Would be interesting to see what he could write about all that came after it was published. Quote
Sidebottom Posted September 24, 2016 Report Posted September 24, 2016 Bret has spoken about releasing a book of random chapters / stories from the original draft. I'd settle for that. Easily, my favourite wrestling book of all time was his. Quote
BrianB Posted September 25, 2016 Report Posted September 25, 2016 It won't happen. But a real and candid book from The Rock would be very interesting.. Quote
