Police sources list McMahon in bizarre incident

[email protected]

A report in today's Palm Beach Post said a tanning booth attendent in Tanzabar tanning salon in Boca Raton lists Vince McMahon as having groped her.

The story claims the police report on the incident would be made public this week.

McMahon lives in Boca Raton at The Excelsior, and couldn't be reached for comments. His life, Linda, called the report "totally bizarre," and Stephanie confirmed her dad goes to that tanning salon, but was not aware of anything happening.

The complete story is at www.palmbeachpost.com/celebrities/content/entertainment/celebrities/lambiet/0201jose.html. It is not in the main story this link takes you do, but in a sidebar story.

Vince must have asked Tazz for some tips with the females.

Major TNA meetings today regarding television

by Dave Meltzer

After scoring its highest rating to date on Saturday night with a 1.1 for the debut of Sting, TNA and Spike officials are meeting in New York today regarding a prime time weeknight time slot.

According to sources, days discussed are both Monday and Thursday. One would suspect Thursday as the frontrunner, given all UFC first-run programming starting on 4/6 would be moved to Thursday. Thursday leading into UFC programming would be the most likely decision. It had been considered, even without the big rating, that a move was likely ever since the decision was made for the Tito Ortiz/Ken Shamrock season three of Ultimate Fighter to be on Thursdays at 11 p.m. Most likely, TNA would provide lead-in programming to UFC (which could be as early as 8 p.m.) due to the audience similarity.

I wonder which side is discussing Monday. I'd wager Spike, since they really seem to want to stick it in WWE's ass that they don't need them.

Actually, I think Spike wants TNA on with UFC on thursday while TNA wants head to head with WWE. As long as they get out of saturday night, it's all good.

As for Vince, this doesn't surprise me at all. It shouldn't be a surprise to Linda, Shane, or Steph either.

Vincent Kennedy McMahon sexually assaulting a woman? I'm shocked, SHOCKED by that dastardly accusation.

Surprised Steph didn't try relating this accusation to Hurricane Katrina trying to erase New Orleans.

Vince McMahon gropes women all of the time. Most of the time he is smart enough to do it on camera though so that it can be considered a form of public entertainment despite the fact that it never really adds anything to the WWE product.

If this gets any traction, how long before someone gets a storyline based on this?

And, yes, I DO know that they just recycled the old "Vince raped Rita Chatterton" story into a storyline for Batista.

Update from Meltzer:

Vince McMahon was not even at the Tanzabar Salon late Sunday night according to his attorney, Jerry McDevitt.

In a Palm Beach newspaper article this morning claiming a police report will be released that names McMahon, it listed the alleged incident as taking place late Sunday night. Of course, McMahon was in Miami for the Royal Rumble on Sunday night, and called a meeting after the show before the trip to Orlando for television last night.

McDevitt said McMahon was not in Palm Beach, nor at the tanning salon that day. McMahon owns a multi-million dollar condo in Boca Raton at The Excelsior, where he resides when not in Connecticut.

McMahon situation to get more publicity

by Dave Meltzer

The allegation that Vince McMahon groped an employee at a Boca Raton tanning salon will be covered in tomorrow's South Florida Sun-Sentinel.

The original story, in the Palm Beach newspaper, reported the incident as having taken place on Sunday night, which would have been impossible, since McMahon was in Miami all day and night for the Royal Rumble.

However, the story in the Sun-Sentinel lists the alleged incident as having taken place on Saturday. Both a newspaper source and an independent Observer newsletter source did peg McMahon as being at the salon, on Federal Highway in Boca Raton, on Saturday.

The confusion is because the alleged victim told police the story on Sunday, but apparently not that it happened on Sunday.

Kelly McMahon, no relation to Vince, a customer at the salon, is quoted in the article as seeing McMahon there on Saturday. She described him as being a gentleman and she saw no signs of him coming on to the unnamed 22-year-old woman who filed the complaint with Boca Raton police.

Jerry McDevitt, McMahon's attorney, is quoted as saying that Boca Raton police informed them it happened Sunday, and they had an air-tight alibi. McMahon was at the American Airlines Arena in Miami all day and well into the night after the Royal Rumble show ended. McDevitt did confirm McMahon was in Boca Raton, where he owns a multi-million dollar condo on the beach, on Saturday, and has been a customer at the Tanzabar salon.

Police have not spoken to McMahon yet, and will have to get his side of the story before prosecutors determine whether there is enough evidence to file charges.
