Female worker that doesn't get talked about enough. Great unique moveset with the combo of headbutt variations and shootstyle submissions including the awesome Imada triangle choke.

 

What matches do I need to see? Anything from her run that is considered a "highlight"? Seems like she was midcarder for life while occasionally playing tag partner for Chigusa and other old timerettes. I've really enjoyed her vs. Hyuga, Yoshida, Mizunami, Kana, Ran Yu Yu, AKINO, Chikayo Nagashima, and her vs. Aja Kong is on my to watch list. Also apparently she teamed with Hiromi Yagi was Masked Angel Freia which is total dream matchup.

 

Apparently, only two of her singles matches vs. Meiko Satomura made tape, and one was clipped down to about 2 minutes, the other was in 1999. What a travesty.

 

Any fans of her around here? Maybe an opinion from someone who was watching in realtime?

Enjoyed what I have seen of her so far. Anticipating her match vs Ran Yu Yu coming up in May of 2000.

Watch any Oz Academy (in GAEA mostly although Amano was a JWP girl like Oz) stuff from the mid to late 90's, and any JWP stuff from the same era. Amano was quite the good worker.

I'll add the match with Mariko Yoshida from one of the last big Gaea shows. I want to do a deep dive on Amano as well cause I missed out on a lot of her stuff.

The two matches vs. Azumi Hyuga (9/23/1999 and 3/20/2000) are must see. Superb offensive wrestler + great underdog. Also Hyuga might be the greatest wrestler ever who no one talks about.
