flyonthewall2983
There's a couple minutes devoted to the dream WrestleMania match in Flair's 30 For 30. Ric seems not to care much that it didn't happen, while Hogan seems to. Since the Sid match was such an abortion anyway who can blame him. Flair and Savage were a better match anyway, just as far as the dynamic between the two and what they could do in the ring.

I know Sid came into WWF in July 1991 but would it have really been that bad to just take a pinfall loss to Hogan? Hogan always was the number 1 guy back then so if Sid is eliminating Hogan from the Rumble then Hulk needs to get his revenge. Sure Hogan was leaving but I doubt it would have damaged Sid's credibility seeing as he failed a drugs test a month later anyway. Bret vs Shawn for the title was always the plan. It's been discussed at length before, including by Prichard on his podcast. Sid getting the title after the debacle was only a way to pass the belt onto Taker at Mania after all got fucked up. I always felt bad for Bret at that years Mania. Shawn acts a dick, forfeits the belt so Bret gets stuck in a match with Austin. They still could have kept plans how they were because if HBK/Bret happens then Bret's walking out with the title. So at the Fatal Four show keep the match as a number one contenders match but instead also make a championship with 2 top contenders who arent in the match, Sid would be one because he was the last champion but who he wrestles Ive no idea because Bret, Austin, Taker & Vader are all locked into the other match. Ricky Jackson
Yeah poor Bret getting "stuck" in that iconic match a lot of people consider the greatest ever
Victator
I think everyone acknowledges WM 13 worked out better for Bret and Austin. Is there a master list of every Hogan/Flair match that made tape?

Is there a master list of every Hogan/Flair match that made tape? Id like to think WWE taped all the Hogan/Flair matches that took place at TV tapings.
